  1. your first tree is either a Taxodium distichum, swamp cypruss or a Metasequoia glyptostraboidies - dawn redwood - both are deciduous conifers.
  2. How much would you be looking to get for the 260? I might be interested!! I'm at college at the moment and looking for a nice smallish saw for a few private jobs etc.. cant afford a brand new one so would be very interested in a second hand one! cheers, Rob
  3. Yeah i struggled to get in, when i did it was all over sadly.. fingers crossed for tomorrow!
  4. It looks rather like a graft union where the root stock is more dominant than the scion material.. there are some great examples at Kew of this, both the dominant root stock and also over vigorous scion material which creates a very interesting form indeed!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
