  1. Hard is not the word for the stuff! I think this timber is nearly a transition to stone( did that make any sense?) No one is going to nick your bench I bet it weighs a tone! I smell a bit better today,but I need a new air freshner for the pickup :

  8. Had a lovely day today milling up 12"x7" jara sleepers(not). The biggest down side is that I now stink of dog piss!! Any tips for getting rid of the smell? I think that Jara timber is stunning some of the colouring is lovely, I was given a few bits wich I think I might make a bench out of the stuff.

  10. Any advice on milling a stick of burr oak. It's a big lump and is cover in burr if that makes sence.

  17. I am contemplating buying a artic load of beam grade Oak, any suggestions for a good supplier and roughly how much do you think it would cost?

  21. Leave some woodland for the people who actually live and work in Wales, I think there is now a clause that you have to speak welsh before they let you buy woodland in Wales !!! Twll tyn pob sais!
