  9. Attended a vintage show yesterday to do a demo, interesting to se the old wrack saw working along side us. Massive thanks to Riggerbear for his help.:thumbup1:y
  10. Best of luck with the saw from now on!
  11. Never mind best laugh I've had in ages!
  12. No sure if someone else has posted this but I p###ed myself watching this thanks Riggerbear!! James the narcoleptic tree cutter - YouTube Never put a vid on before might not work:confused1:
  13. Thanks agg, the oak is green, the engineers spec for the oak is D40 for the 100x250 and D30 for 150x150 purlins. Also there's a spec for one beam which is grade B cass 3 moisture service? The size of the beam is 300x300x3.6!
  14. I'm in a bit of a predicament. I need to supply graded oak to a customer but can't find anyone to grade the timber. Does anyone know of anyone in west wales or close to ceredigion that could do it. Many thanks.
  15. Igland or Farmi? Would be great full for a bit of advice looking at the six tonne pull range. Would I save much if I purchased one from the APF thinking of taking the trailer with us! Or if anyone knows of a decent second hand? Thanks:001_smile:
  16. I made this chair last year from spalted Alder for local Eisteddfod, the wood is lovely looking stuff, Defenetly mill it!
  17. Dam when you say it like that it is! But I'll feel better if I look at it like this, one tank full to cut 166 cubic foot! Out of interest what is the total length of your Logmaster?
  18. I'll check the engine over on the weekend to see if I'm missing something? I've put an extra £30 on my days contract milling to cover the fuel cost! I resawed 60 in no 10"x5" softwood sleepers into 10"x1 1/2" boards last Thursday on one tankful of fuel I was happy with that!
  19. The WM would use over 20 litres a day! No debarker, anyway thanks for that J interesting stuff!
  20. There must be something wrong with my engine! I'll go through 30 litres a day no probs and that shutting the revs when ever possible! Do you think I can tune it up some how?
  21. The model I purchased was a TK2000 with a Kholer 37hp petrol engine, all the other spec is standard ( chain log turner, log clamp, up and down log stops, front and back roller toe boards, log lifters, all direct hydraulics no electrics except for the clutch and blade guide bearings). I bought my second hand it's two years old, I not sure now but I think they are around £35-37000 new? The only thing I would like different would be a Diesel engine! Defenetly get some photos uploaded in the next few weeks!
  22. Brilliant! Would never go back to a Woodmizer. Took a bit of getting used to, cuts much truer and flater than the WM, been out on a couple of contract milling jobs, I am really chuffed with the setworks it's on the money every cut and saves a lot of time! I wasn't to sure how it worked so I sent an email to TK and received a tutorial DVD, new manual and a hat!!! All the way from Missouri. The only thing that gets on my nerves is the manual throtle but I'm working on a solution to cure that! One day I will post some pics!! Are you happy with your Logmaster J?
  23. In the last two years we have had thumbs put on all our machines from 8t to the 21 tone machine, great things!
