  1. Have a horizontal Alko, 4 or 5 ton that did me well for years. Now use a vertical Clarke 5 1/2 ton. Both good for doing own wood on a small scale but nowhere near good enough for commercial. Still use the Fiskars x25 and x27 mostly as far quicker on straight grained stuff

  2. Got a few enquiries, nothing like as much as normal as would be booking for April usually. Got 8 full days confirmed and looking at a couple more quotes tomorrow. Grass cutting starting soon will add a day a month to begin with, then fortnightly soon enough. On a positive note I’m not stressed because I can’t keep up and getting a few jobs done at home 👍

All the best with recovery, thanks for writing this.  Worth it if it saves one person from having an accident.  I don't do much grinding but same applies to saws, machines, processors etc.

Maybe put your bank details on here, sure plenty could chuck something in there to help you along?

Maybe PayPal would be better if you have it?

  4. I found an Ali body from a transit on eBay- cut the steel body off my iveco daily, swapped them over with help from a mate and various bars/levers etc.

welded brackets up in situ, bolted it down then made high sides from box steel and ply. Gave it a few coats of bitumen based paint and this lasted me three years. Took about a week and done for under 1k all in - this was about 10 years ago mind so prices have risen since then

This isn’t even a particularly bad one. I can nearly tell what the job is.
Anybody capable of getting this kind of job should be shot. Nobody is simultaneously dim enough to not see the harm and clever enough to work the mouse to apply.

And they couldn’t even bother getting the ad proof read to find the typos - pathetic effort 😂

So what are you asking per cube and 2 cube?

These guys cover my area so we need to be in the same ballpark price wise. We are still more expensive without the kiln dried and Woodsure tag.

Our kiln dried logs are an economical way to fuel you fire because they have a lower moisture content, meaning less energy is required to burn off residual moisture and therefore more...

As as aside - you’d think with a website like that they’d at least get it proof read - never ceases to amaze me how some businesses just don’t check these things
