  1. Cheers for the info guys, much appreciated 👍
  2. No downside then? Read something about chain having to be quite slack and something about oiling issues but as long as it's safe that's all I'm sort of concerned about.
  3. Right be gentle with me guys as I'm a lowly surveyor. I'm on the safety group for my company and one of our guys has suggested using a carving bar on their top handled saw for doing aerial work. He says it reduces chance of kickback dramatically. Now my issue is, why are they not used all the time then? Any info on subject would be appreciated 😀
  4. What dates is it on this year?
  5. We use Ringlink at SSE, I'm based in Arbroath. Can't fault them, good training and assessment providers. Brian Jarrett the guy to deal with, really good trainer/assessor.
  6. Don't know of any stand alone tree Id courses as such. Just sections in other courses such as UA2.1 etc. Just get a good book and put the hours in and learn them I'd say 😀
  7. Just curious if anybody is aware of any upcoming PTI courses located in Scotland anytime soon? Any help gratefully appreciated 😉
