Was there not a recession in the early 90's and the early 80's? Id imagine that would cause a deficit to any government, but why go into debt while there's a period of growth and there's a surplus for once? (of course it was going to last forever wasn't it!)

What do you mean they cut the deficit? there wasn't one when gordon brown got his grubby hands on the fiances, he raided the pensions and increased borrowing to go on a spending spree, changed his own rules on borrowing to get hold of more money and created a deficit long before the recession!! If that had never happened just maybe there would be cash in the bank to have seen us through the crash without cutting all the services??

There's no way she's I'll. There's always a sudden illness whenever things get a little tough for her. He's been on today about how she's unfairly treated and great at her job. Shows poor judgement on his part. She's a very weak individual in no way suited for one of the most powerful jobs in the country. Its almost as if having people who are good at running companies and making money in charge of the economy is a better choice than having people who are jealous of people who have made their fortune and want to take it away and give it to the masses. No the manifesto isnt costed, but is it that important? we've seen how they run the economy over the past 7 years, its going to be more of the same.. attempting to live to your means and saying that magical word 'no'
