  1. True and I see your point.

For me though I would rather I was being watched by cctv when say away from my private residence in the hope that scum who don't deserve any freedom whatsoever are filmed and caught.

Yeah that is a fair point too.. I can see the merit in both sides of it, I just think the era of CCTV, Data mining and being electronically tracked is a bit alarming really.. in days of old when technology wasn't as good it was done via notebooks, people tracking others and it conjured up images of the Gestapo and the like which everyone fought against but in current times its been replaced with an Electronic Policeman which many have no issue with - There has even been trials within the UK where they have used Predator Drones [ the same ones used in Afghanistan that can carry Hellfire Missiles, the same missiles that an Apache Gunship destroys tanks with ] have been used by the Police to act as a 24 hour policeman minus the Missiles obviously.

I just think it's far too trusting of those in power to believe they would not abuse it and if it really did stop scumbags, why is it we still have it going on constantly ? One quote rings in my head with all this going on -

'' They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety '' - Benjamin Franklin

Maybe I'm a romantic at heart, but I think what he said rings true

  2. Well said that man.:thumbup1:

As long as we are all clean living who cares where we are and what we do.:laugh1:

Google is better, it will soon tell me what I want, when I want it and who will provide it.:001_smile:

I can always choose to ignore it though.

Depends how you look at it though, personally I value my Privacy very highly even though I live clean and do no ill will to others, isn't that a persons right that they earn from being a good citizen ?

  3. Hahaha

That's got to be a reply from a very single and very bitter man with slightly too much of an engine obsession!

Isn't he just ? But the brutal honesty of it had me laughing, she did ask for opinions, guess she wasn't specific enough - which reminds me of this pic a mate sent me awhile back...

  4. Good call, its a dman good album too!

i'm looking more for something more meaningfull to me tho!

to be completely honest i havent put much thought into it, too busy planning my next tattoo!

(just to clarify- the 'arbtalk for life' thing was a joke!!!!)

 knew it was mate, but too much fun yanking your chain about it

  5. I've got to find £400 odd for a new crash helmet . Apparently, potentially life saving PPE is more of a priority than pretty new tats. I'm not entirely convinced of that, myself

PPE over looking good ? pfft... just think if you need an Ambulance you'd look cool getting carted off on a gurney

  6. Ha!

Allways toyed with the idea of getting an Evil Dead related tattoo!

Maybe a picture of the necronomicon!

I got Mary done at King Arthurs in sunny Scarborough, i'll definatly going there from now on! Theres a little scroll/banner at the bottom that i need to get filled in, couldnt think of anything at the time!!

    ..I'm thinking 'Arbtalk 4 Life'!!!!

Nah... We all like Arbtalk but thats a bit much mate  what about the Offspring Album style ? '' Ixnay on the Hombre '' ? a lot of their artwork was Day of the Dead themed, just a thought mate

  7. I will definately be getting more done at some point. I know what I want; it's just a matter of finding a few hundred disposable quid that wouldn't be better spent on more practical things :001_rolleyes:

Too true, my last few spare notes went on a Trailer for my Defender :laugh1: Hope to see some pics of any work you get done, though the pink latex might be a bit much as suggested by Hama

  8. Got this done a couple of years ago in Majorca of all places, fancied having a tattoo done for a long time and plucked up the courage to brave the chair.. 5 hours later job done  and the next one I hope to use my Avatar [ bigger pic ] as part of a sleeve on my right arm

  9. Do you consider your build to be?

It depends on your build and what you want to do.

For tree work you want to condition your body so you have endurance, power, strength and stamina!

You don't want to be pumping 25KG bicep curls, you want to do about 20 reps of 12kg but again this depends on your current build and what weight you find comfortable to use without breaking a sweat in 5 reps!

Lots of push ups, chin ups, tricep dips, sit ups, lat and shoulder work outs!

    Balanced diet is good.

Ello mate, I'm currently 13-14 stone ? [ need to get the scales out ] and 6'3 so I'm not big really, never have been but doing all this is more so I can do the job easier, yeah its still knackering and bet even the fittest people in this trade still sweat at the end of a hard day, but all I'm aiming for is being able to bounce back quicker and easier and just bulldoze through the day without paying for it the next day with some serious aches and pains.

Thanks again though, will be giving some of everyones advice a try and see what works best for me

    Cheers

  10. Condensed tips:

heavy weights low reps above 5 sets tho

plenty of good carbs healthy fats and a big wallop of protein

    plenty of rest and fluid

avoid machines and cable exercises and stick to bread and butter basic barbell lifts

and hit your core and lower back and work it hard with resistance.

I've been giving a lot of these tips a bash, thanks a lot guys.. really appreciate the advice although I think I went one step better than a benchpress - Dragging a Sankey trailer up/down the driveway in the morning and evening is bloody hard work  along with reversing it up in a Defender with no powersteering.. feel like I've done an arm wrestling match with Arnie afterward
