Was Jon Turnbull climbing btw?
Haven't seen him for ages.
Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
No it was his lads first bday mark

If there was an event accommodating mediocre climbers with appalling throw line skills I'd be all over it like a rash.
Honestly, it sounds intimidating to get into, and the bigger boys might be mean to me!

Just have a go, I thought exactly the same but I entered and it was awesome everyone was very helpful when I didn't have a clue what to do

Seen them before at shows and seem full of gear junkies.. Half the lads I see fly up the tree, but give them a saw and its game over.. As said each to there own
Most of the top competitors are either good contract climbers or own their own very reputable companies. To say they can't produce quality tree work is insulting really!!!

The work climb was 7 minutes and it goes fast, I personally had to watch the work climb all day. I really enjoyed it, it's also interesting watching the rescue as you learn a lot that you could maybe have to use one day as the rescue method you learn on the cs38 is pretty basic.

A lot of the competitions you see at arbshows generally are student comps.
The ISA TCC should be held at an arbshow...its ludicrous hosting it anywhere but IMO
3atc have locked that down though haven't they?
-
Oh and well done on winning the comp mog that was a smooth masters climb
-
Mog I'm personally glad there was only 17 climbers, otherwise I'd have been up the work climb tree longer than that lad was up the throw line tree de tagging it ay haha!!

Good job that mate

The sliace has a dyneema sling in the eye so as Dan was saying is better for using with an O rig system, as with a splice you can't get it so close on the bottom attachment point as you don't want to be bending the throat of the splice! If that makes sense?
