  1. They default to two, so you can get free delivery. You can change the number to one if you want. Best of luck, Nicola
  2. Thank you, I have taken a look and not very many reviews online for it. I will pass on the suggestion though.
  3. I agree it would be expensive, but also a good investment as there isn't currently female specific items. It is a growing niche, which will be very profitable. It isn't a case of 'if', it is a case of 'when' (in my opinion). For us at Northern Arb it is about helping our female customers as much as we can right now. Suppliers do acknowledge the growing demand so it is very much worth letting them know what women would like. Thanks for the heads up on the Stein chainsaw trousers. Is there are particular one or do they all fit about the same?
  4. Possibly, although women seem to find the PPE side the biggest issue for them. As suppliers of Arb equipment and PPE, this is something we want to work on.
  5. Thanks Paul. It is a shame that something as simple as chainsaw trousers makes the job more difficult for women.
  6. Hi Will, Thank you for your comments. I have made a note of them. Which harness does she find the most comfortable? Every women is different, and because we often have larger hips it makes a huge difference if the harness isn't right. It would be great to have a few we could recommend for women. The Breath flex chainsaw trousers have been the ones we recommend to women for a while. It is good to hear this fits with Sam's experience. As for the chest harnesses, I have heard this complaint before. I don't think there are any available for women (hopefully I am wrong). There isn't much of a market for chest harnesses in general in the UK.

  8. Hi, If you know the specification of the chain you require click this link, Rotatech Chains - Northern ARB Supplies It will ask you the specifications and finish with the chain you want. I hope that helps. Thanks, Nicola
  9. Hi all, I have been looking into the growing number of women working in Arboristry. The challenges they face and how we at Northern Arb can help. The biggest problem is being able to source the right equipment. We have a lot of experience and have therefore put together a list of items women seem to prefer. The Glass Canopy & The Growing Number Of Women In Arboristry Do you agree with our suggestions? Can you do better?
  10. Sorry you are having trouble. Which chains are you looking for? I can take a look for you. You can call 0114 278 9090 to speak to an adviser.

  13. Thank you for the support with this people, yes we have had to change the images but only on our marketing I can assure you the drums are still as sexy as ever and as a matter of fact we have recently added more models to the range. I do like the "collectors item" comments though, look out for the collectors edition email coming soon the labels will be limited edition shiny's
  14. As you are probably aware Piranha® is a new brand on the scene, we don't quite have the full range available yet and we are ever expanding, we will soon have stock of chains and bars to fit what we believe to be the popular saws based on research. Please let us know what saws you all run so we can build a list of the popular chains needed and make getting those in a priority. With regards to the chain selection process, I have taken it on board and I am currently working on making the chains available by Pitch & Gauge. This should be up & running by the end of the day. If anybody has any questions or is struggling to find the chain for their saw please give us a call we're always happy to help Rich Northern Arb
  15. I can clear up the Anvil issue. All chippers need some form of Anvil, they are located at the end of the infeed roller box, they are always stationary. The rotating chipper blades which are fixed to the fly wheel use them to cut against and whilst cutting perforamnce is related to the condition of the anvil, it is not as important as the condition of the chipper blades. Hope that helps I am happy to answer any issues relating to chipper blades as I have over 20yrs experience manufacturing them regards Nick

  18. Thought I would ask the question on the off chance that somebody may be interested or know someone who might be. Saturn Machine Knives Ltd, UK's main supplier of after market chipper blades have recently branched out ( forgive the pun) into Arb supplies. We have a fully stocked retail outlet at our new premises in sheffield. We currently have a vacancy for a full time sales person to help develop the business. Ideally the person will have industry experience, be a climber/tree surgeon. Computer and telephone skills will be required to maintain the company database and also take incoming sales calls and make outgoing calls to prospects. Salary is negiotable depending on the persons experience. PM me if you are interested or Email [email protected] regards Nick
