    Hi Ian, Glad you like our bags. They do seem to be popular with customers. We don’t do full chisel on top handles at the moment. This might change in the future, if we think the demand has increased. In our trial stages we found that more people preferred semi-chisel on top handled saws. We list the standard options on the make & model selector to make it easier for people with not much saw knowledge, we believe by adding that option it would cause more confusion for people who don’t know much about chain specs. If you know you run a different chain to standard you are best off using the “by pitch, gauge & no. of links” section of our website.

    Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has tried the new HAAS Velox Foot Ascender? It sounds amazing. We only started selling it Friday, so we would love to hear how people have found it. It gives users of the HAAS system an extra 18 inches. It is easy to use and set up. One size fits all and is very smooth. HAAS Velox foot ascender for HAAS system gives 18 inches extra.

    Hi Ulf, It sounds like you got the wrong chain. Since one of them had bumper links. Similarly with the full-chisel. Perhaps we had an error on our side. Please can you help me out with the link of the chains you ordered, so we can take a look? For future reference, when you have a problem with an order, it is always better to let us know. Then we can work to solve it.

    Hi Matt, Thank you for your honest opinion. It is great to hear that you will be using them from now on. It is rare for customers to report stalling or biting. I am not sure what that is caused by.

    Chain oil is great at preventing rusting. It forms a protective seal between the steel and the oxygen in the air. However we have chosen to add another protective layer onto the steel through the bluing process. I agreed that the blued steel looks good, but that isn't why we decided to use it on our chains. I'm not sure how much you know about steel or chemistry. Apologies is this sounds condescending. I am not an expert in steel, but I am from Sheffield (birthplace of steel) and studied science. Corrosion is the process of oxidation (loss of hydrogen for those that remember school) or the gaining of an oxygen. The bluing process creates a surface of oxidation and forms magnetite (Fe3O4). Just like aluminium does naturally, which is why it always looks shiny and doesn't corrode/rust in your cupboard. This blued steel is therefore resistant to corrosion, scratches and yes it does look nicer. The Wikipedia page is great, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluing_(steel) Oregon and Stihl have both chosen to use blued steel, probably for the same reasons. I hope that helps.

    The Rotatech is our own chain that we have developed with careful research and listening to customer feedback. To get the optimum design, it has ended up being similar to Oregon. Both chains are good quality, but the Rotatech costs roughly half the price.

    This might be because all the top brands of chainsaw chain use blued steel. Cheaper chains don't.
