  1. Hi Guys, I had a call this afternoon from a customer of mine as the wind had blown a branch out into the road and left a really big crack as seen in pic on the front of the tree.I have been and removed the remainder of the limb and a few extra to take away some weight but she is concerned about the general health of the tree as the split reaches the root plate system. What would you all suggest i do? is it in the best nature to take the whole tree down? (still very new at this so any advice is appreciated).. Thanks Tony

  12. Hi there as i am a newbie to all this am just enquiring if this event is ok to bring the family to?
  13. Have finally found out it was mptca (hope thats right) that was used to spray the nettles around.Would this cause the tree to look like this or do you think its something else??
  14. If i can help from a gardening view. The redrobins can be pruned fairly hard so take out the windrock and re stake. You can use any liquidfeed (i use miraclegrow) which will need to be used once a fortnight to help encourage new growth and the base will need to be forked over before watering.Out of interest are you near the coast? as this can cause this problem due to the salt in the air which i have seen many times in gardens i look after.Hope this helps TonyP
  15. I will get some more pictures tomorrow of the tree's for you to have a look at with camera as that was taken with my phone so not very clear. Now you mention the herbicide they have had someone in to spray all the nettles recently so you could be right and it is the whole tree that has been affected.
