  3. there r 6 trees all the same in the area.the last post sounds good as an old boy walking his dog in next field said did i know its an elm?does this make good burning wood if it is elm? Thanks

  6. Hi all I have been doing a clearance job of the wood in the pictures ,can anyone help with identifying what wood it is and if it would be any good for logs...i believe it is a soft wood but its still very wet so hard to know for sure.Any feedback would be gratefully received thanks Tony
  7. if you get a chance to look at the wood and see if you notice any small holes in it.iv had a small hedge start to die and iv started to cut some out thats when i noticed the holes.may be this will help
  8. Thanks all, Yes there is a old silver birch stump in the hedge which i took down last year as there was a big crack in the base Thanks again Tony
  9. Hi all this fungus has popped up within the last week at one of my customers can you tell me what it is and will it affect the hedge as it is growing both sides of it. Thanks Tony

  11. That was my thought originally but the customer really would like to save it if possible.I will take pics of whole tree tomoz to see if a pollard of reduction would help. Thanks Tony
  12. There is some growing on the outer roots on the driveway which i noticed when leaving today.
  13. There are 2 heavy limbs that overhang a main road.I will go back and take some pics tomorrow of the whole tree Thanks Tony

  15. I discovered this fungus today the customer is very concerned as the tree is leaning towards there driveway.Id needed and any suggestions as to what can be done will be very grateful Thanks Tony

I posted an earlier thread of a copper beech and an oak tree that were both bleeding,since then a new fungus have appeared on each the first picture is of the copper beech and the second is the oak.The beech tree has a tpo on it and is a landmark of the village what can be done to save it as it is also on a main road? With regards to the oak from earlier pics there is a annex underneath it so what would be the best solution for this? Thanks Tony
  17. Yes it is on an oak and it is very near a main road.The tree looks healthy but my customer would like to know what is best to do to keep the tree going as it is a main feature of the garden Thanks Tony

  20. Thanks guys for your help.The oozing on the oak is at the base of the tree not on a limb and was oozing whilst i was there.I will let the customer know about the beech tree but wot would u recommend we do with the oak??? Thanks Tony

  23. The customer is happy to do what needs to be done.I forgot to say in earlier post there is fungi on the branch above and on the trunk but i dont have any pics of this.What would u suggest?? thanks Tony
