  4. i am doing a timber loading display at lamport steam and country festival 25 26 27 th of may and at rockingham castle steam fair on the 1st 2nd june with a 6 wheel pole trailer and matadors fordson majors etc . i am looking for a suitable load for the display to load and unload need about 10 to 15 lengths of round timber 15 to 25 ft long 2ft to 5ft diameter can collect in the nothants leics area all timber can be returned after the rockingham event anyone got anything suitable ? ben 01858 565 425 or 07896535354 thanks

  6. anyone had anything to do with mb trac tractors thinking about buying one, its a bit too modern for my fleet as it is 30 years newer than my newest tractor but a cab and a heater would be nice after last years monsoon season

  8. thanks for that mate TH WHITE supply our palfinger cranes at work . we restored a fordson major which was converted by automower to a pole erector it was used for putting up telegraph poles and stringing out the wires . as it was blue and due to its name it was known as the viagra tractor !

  10. Got there 11 .30 left about 4.00 the foden is one of the six prototypes which the army used for trials before they bought the foden with the atlas cranes which are now being replaced by the M A N svr wrecker

  14. It's a cedar of Lebanon which is about 800 cft with the tree cleaned up about 600 cft to move in one piece very limited access have submitted a cost just have to wait and see if I get the job
  15. . Looked at another job today which makes the Old warden oak look like a chair leg if it goes ahead about 600 cube to move in on piece I like a challenge and this could be interesting !
  16. We positioned it into the garden walkway area at the Rspb to be worked as a carving
  17. The estimated weight was 7.5 tons but it is a job to size up when it sits on the ground
  18. Crane will lift 6.5 ton at 4 m the butt was 2.4 m wide and 4.5 m long
  19. Thanks all involved were very pleased with our work
  20. A lot heavier than we thought the pal finger crane will lift 6.5 tonnes at 4 m and would not lift one end .we loaded it by rolling up ramps with the winch on the fordson 2.1 with snatch block with the crane following up the roll on a secondary line
  21. Did a job at the weekend which involved moving a large oak butt from Old Warden Bedfordshire college estate to the R.S.P.B headquarters in Sandy . We used our M.A.N 6x6 off road crane and the ever faithful fordson super major with boughton winch .
  22. we have two unipowers a 1951 unipower hannibal timber tractor and a 1971 unipower invader 4x4 road site artic tractor unit
  23. i am the youngest of four two brothers one sister they all have two children each, i have six three boys three girls oldest is 20 youngest is four months !
