  5. Bit of a long shot but a friend has asked me to see if i can find anyone interested in some yew stem that he cut down. its been stored under a tarp and is in approx 3-4ft sections. 6-14" in diameter. few bits might be of use maybe. i told him it would have been more valuable in longer lengths but he couldnt move it himself as hes getting on a bit. It nr kings lynn norfolk. Any ideas if its worth trying to sell of should we just chop it up for firewood??

  10. Hi all, not sure if this is the right section of the forum but i am looking for someone in norfolk, preferably west norfolk that has a timber forwarder. I have a job that may require one but it must have low ground pressure as the ground is pretty soft and has a slight gradient. cheers
  11. i spoke to marlow a few years back regarding some ropes i bought that were ex military still in brand new selaed boxes with internal plastic packaging and i think they said shelf life was 10 years from date of manufacture. So if you bought it when it was 6 years old presumably youd only get 4 years use out of it max. This issue can up more recently when i bought a cambium saver which was already 5 years old when i got it, the dealer said it wont matter because it will be busted before expiry the date runs out, which i wanst overly impressed with. Its best to ask the manufacturers as i think some recommend 8 years on a harness and some 10. Obviously if its in daily use you will get less but id be interested in what any loler trained guys have to say about max life where the item has been stored for a few years before service??
  12. Know what you mean chris, mines always rolling in something fragrant. Not fun on the way home sandwiched in the pickup.
  13. Hey Kev, i've signed up to do this at myerscough too. I started a level 2 years ago but i did not have the time to complete it last time round even though i completed 3/4 of it. The myerscough course looks much more in depth than the previous one i signed up too and i fully intend to complete the course this time. Pm me if you want my details for finding me on bloom. Cheers and good luck

  21. Just been talking to Trust and found their customer service excellent, much better than one of the others mentioned on here. As a plus they offered a much better policy with better cover for the same money, win win in my book. Trust get my vote, whether i'll think the same should i have to make a claim time will tell, but so far all good,
