  1. One other consideration will be the weight of said chipper. Your license may not allow for anything over 750kg, your truck train weight is also something to look at. This is the overall allowable weight, for example my 3.5t tipper can have a train weight of 5.5t, I have a 7"GBT chipper which is 1t, truck is about 2.5t, so I can load 3t. Interestingly enough this is only when I have a trailer without it is only 3.5t. I have also a kwic chip which has been fantastic (it's like a Jensen copy), timberwolf are ok but the more of a disposable approach to them and rely on the engine more than the inertia of a heavy flywheel. German or American would be my first choice if you can afford them and newer the better. If your pricing is right a machine will pay for itself in a year

I would suggest that pulleys would encourage a twisting effect, Z appears just plain over complicated, 4 attachment points instead of 2, extra unnecessary cable just so you can put a cable in the wrong place, X I think should work in opposite pairs and Y has the potential to run through. These may work but doesn't look like a correct design for the job, only IMHO
