  6. you can also use you lanyard to sling over your shoulder doing long ascents and clip into the HC pulley to tend slack, but this works for me and I simple unclip and stow on the back of my treemotion until I need it again.
  7. yeah mon and it is amazing how little wear your hitch-cord has on it after you climb on the rope wrench, even doing some quick descents. It takes a lot of the friction off the hitch, the hitch still holds you in place when you stop to work and it allows minute adjustments for positioning, but the main advantage is no matter how many crotches you drop thru, or limbs you go around, the friction stays the same and predictable:thumbup: wayyyyy out on a scary limbwalk? dreading going back in? well don't just drop down thru a crotch and work another limb, sweet deal man, sweet deal, and although I'm a huge lover of DdRT and my hitchclimber set-up; this thing is winning me over for a lot of jobs. want to use it on a removal? go for it, just choke the spar with a running bowline and have at it. here is a pic of my rig, the footlock bungees is thru the wrench just to show the direction it runs when I sling it over my shoulder and into the top hole of the hitchclimber, that in conjunction with my foot ascender allow the RW and hitch to self tend as I ascend. Unlike using a foot ascender on DdRT where you move 1 foot for every 2 feet of rope you pull; the RW system is a 1:1, it is much faster to move up a rope.

  9. words from the master inventor himself
  10. you can body thrust, but you had better have some guns... (which I do ) but most of the time, clip in the pantin and go coming in from limbwalks is easy though.
  11. yeah, it would be, but I guess being SRT, you can shoot or throw your line to it's max, then have at 'er:001_smile: remember, when climbing SRT, you don't "have" to isolate a crotch, going over a couple will work just fine.

  13. no man, this allows you to work DRT style but on a single line, you can drop thru as many crotches as you want, no friction change it is clearly superior to standard DRT. once you try it and get the hang of it, it rocks brutha'!

  20. Thanks all, i think I may have it tuned to me and it feels very nice, much more comfortable than dare I say, My Sequoias?
  21. hmmm If I took a pic of all my kit laid out...lots would either love or hate me I have a TON of gear but hey, sooner or later it gets used, yes?
  22. naw, I just loaded it up for the pic to see how much I could get on it... I climb with my lanyard, a few biners, my "8" and that's it, i get stuff mailed up to me if I need it ...lol
  23. yeah, i wear my Sequoias lower than they say in the Petzl instructions. the front waist belt is well below my pant-line in the pic, my butt keeps it from sliding off, so it's all good! lol:thumbup:
  24. I was told by James K. to wear it higher, the weight of a saw will pull it down, so I wear it right on my belt-line, , must be more to it though cuz it isn't all that comfy yet..lol
  25. Okay, so I'm test-flying before possibly buying... but dayum, this thing is rough to get fitted! It is like a Behemoth compared to my lovely little Sequoias, unless I can figure this out, it is going back and I'll continue with my Petzls, but I want to give this thing an honest go. I'm 5' 8" about 170? maybe a bit less. so far it is digging the crap out of my lower ribs and just doesn't feel "right"...any fitting tips would be great. And Steve, now I know why after flying the Sequoias, most don't look back Many thanks.
