  1. hi,sorry your wrong on your info on 110s and class1V mots. 110 hard top landys [no windows] ie 110td,110 200tdi, 300tdi,110 td5 are 3050kgs u/l weight are still class 1V mot. there is still no up date on VOSA computer[6.30 pm today].if a main dealer left the weight details of the reg form when first registration was applied for DVLA always put it at 3499 kgs. its up to you top prove them wrong!VOSA have now worked out that 110s come in different body styles ie. h/d,hard top, truck cab, soft top and csw, ALL are different weights hence another cock up by VOSA! if when you go to the test station and your reg no is entered on the computer and it comes up that your l/r is in the wrong class [1V or V11] it will not allow the tester to procede any further and will void your test. the only difference between class 1Vand V11 is to check tyre speed rating/ LOAD rating and a weighted brake test not that easy unless you have a 4 wheel rolling road, and of course an extra tenner for the test.

  2. hi,at a previous job i maintained 3 35c12s single cabs only major problems were broken front spring, and clutch pedal broke .parts are easy to get,not over priced and nothing vibated off!fuel consumption mind 20s , also have good chassis rails to carry the weight. would i have on..... yes. would i have a transit... no. even the local councils are leaving the transit brigade.

  3. You need to buy a Hilux. No need for cheap parts as they don't break down that often:001_tt2:!! Have a Discovery TD5 and it just leaks everywhere. If it's not in the sun roof it's out of the engine somewhere:thumbdown:. They have both done about the same mileage but the Hilux is about 5 years older. Go with the Japs they know about engineering:001_tt2::lol:

a landrover will always hold its value long after the hilux has been recycled into cat food tins! dont see any 60 year old hiluxs like you do landrovers, and they are still driven on the roads today.

  4. hi,not a crew cab one but a single cabbed one ,cab is small for three blokes ,low ground clearance, gears seem to be back to front until you get used to them.steering lock is brilliant especially for street work/ LA work, service times every 10k after first service.
