This is something I've been thinking about for a while the price seems to be prohibitively expensive £2885 for a mower for my 1.6 ton Takeuchi! I'm not convinced there would be enough work for one locally. What sort of work have you got lined up for it? Ross

Sorry Tommer I can't take any at the moment I'm still sorting out my yard and building a splitter to run off the mini digger. As soon as I've got things sorted I'll let you know.

Hi Tommer, How much are they taking off you every day on the Ferry? Last time I did it on the bike it was £1.50. I think its the most expensive ferry crossing in the country when it come to price v distance. Good to see a landy in its natural habitat! Rs

Hi all, Great site I've found it really interesting. I'm not currently involved in Firewood but it's something I'm interested in getting into in the future. I'm currenty setting up a yard to store my mini digger and other bits of kit. I want leave an area that I could use for seasoning fire wood and just want to know what the best conditions are for seasoning? I would of thought off the floor on pallets or racking with some sort of cover but open at each end to allow wind flow? Do you have to mix the pile up every so often to let the logs at the center of the pile have there turn on the out side? What other factors should I be thinking of? I know permissions/planning might be a issue but it is currently used for storage of machinery so I don't think it should be a problem. Like I said I'm in the early processes of sorting things out so any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks Ross
