  1. Hi R.W. I would highly recommend 'The Grafter's Handbook'. It is quite old but still the only book with as much info on the subject. Sometimes see copies on ebay for not too much money. Another good old book is 'Tree Fruit Growing' by Raymond Bush' I graft and bud a lot of fruit trees each year but ornamentals are not really my thing.
  2. Birch sap wine is great. You can get about a gallon of sap of one tree. Got to wait until April for that though.
  3. Hi. I'm new to this forum. Saw this thread and just thought I would add that I've found "Woodlands a practical handbook" by BTCV really helpfull for planning and pricing such work. I think it cost about £15 but well worth it. Daniel
  4. Hello, I am new to the forum. Wow, I bet it's looking great now - nice job! Impressive machinery, we only have kit like that on our wishlist! Couldn't help but notice a very sexy water pumping turbine in the background, been looking for one for years! Hope the work keeps rolling on in for you.
