  1. Hi everyone. My tw125 has last week started with the feed rollers twitching on forward and reverse this has now stopped being as bad but the stress control comes in all the time. I maybe thought it was the engine rpm or something it still chips but the stress control comes in on every in feed in quick succession like it doesn't have any power. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this. Many Thanks Darran
  2. Hi not fixed yet. I took it in to be looked at last Wednesday they say they have ordered some parts for it. Sounds like they are swapping things to find out what it is. Not sure about that. It seems like it could be the bar switch as it doesn't click anymore like it used to and on the machine you have to initially press the bar in to engage the forward and reverse. Maybe that. I wasn't onsite when it all happened so just got one of the lads to take it in day after. Managed to loan a mates machine for Monday luckily after Monday it's all timber. Fingers crossed get it back next week and doesn't cost the earth. Thanks for your replies I will post what it was when fixed so it may help others that this happens to. Cheers.
  3. Hi everyone. Both rollers stopped on site today. Swapped both relays. Checked connections and such. I have noticed that usually under running conditions that there are red leds from what could be an electrically controlled hydraulic unit. I'm assuming that because there is two of these that one is forward and one reverse. The LEDs now don't light up. The side stop bar switch used to click when pushed now it doesn't. Are the two linked or possibly separate issues. I'm no expert and got piles of brash on site 😡 Does anyone have any recommendations. Thanks to anyone who replys.

  14. Hi we are looking for an experienced climber to help with dismantles and pruning works in the Wakefield district and beyond but mainly Wakefield district west Yorkshire. It may not be very regular to start I will not make any false promises. Maybe a handfull of days a month to start. The climber must have all relevant tickets for dismantling etc and be very experienced in rigging as a lot of the work will probably be removal of trees. Please pm me for more info if you are interested. Cheers
  15. We have a 13 plate swb tipper. Had it just coming up to a year. It's been very good for us it all comes down to what you do as usual though. We do a mix of domestic and commercial nothing really off road. It holds chip well pulls well. We only run a small tw 125 but nothing bad to report so far. Having had van derived tippers in the past I would choose this style again. Hope that may be of some help to you.
  16. Hi everyone. Just a quick update on the school trees it maybe of some interest. Spoke to FC they said the school is not exempt as it is not an open space as it cannot be accessed by the public like a park for instance. They were only interested in the stem timber as they disregard any branchwood. Luckily for me the stems are really short on the maple and are only 5ft tall which means with the DBH measurement don't equate to much. The limes are quite slim with not much trunk timber. So looks like I fall within the 5 cube per Calender quarter when I mentioned sizes to the FC Hope this may help anyone else it hat finds themselves a little unsure of the situation.
  17. Thanks for the input everyone. I was hoping that it would be an LA issue and not FC. Think i may do a little more investigation tomorrow just to cover ourselves. Thanks again for everyones thoughts on this.
  18. Sorry medium trees 4 maple 2 lime total wood would be over 2 cube. Stand alone trees up a drive no woodland or anything. Removal due to access for disabled pupils with specialist vehicles that require wheelchair access within the school
  19. Hi everyone. I just need some info on whether or not taking down 6 trees in a school would require a felling license. The majority of our work is domestic garden tree work so it's not an area covered by us much in the past. Any info as always is greatfully received.
  20. Would you need a felling license to remove around 6 medium sized trees from a school.
  21. I purchased a 201t on a 14 bar around 3 months ago it's been superb. I was gentle with it for a while with small jobs bits of pruning and things then started using it in bigger stuff. I run all my gear on putaline mx9 never had a spot of bother I find the power great and lovely to use and does everything so thought no point in a 150. My thoughts only from my time with it. Hope it may help a little
  22. Hi everyone just thought i would put these on. Got emailed them today from a friend who looks after some woodland that is used for horse trials etc. The trees in question are beech and some line the trial paths he is concerned so sent these pictures of what he found. Any input is gratefully received. Tree 1 pics 1 & 2 Tree 2 pics 3 &4 Tree 3 pic 5 Many thanks
  23. Excellent i will try trust. Good to know you have been paid out too. Cheers Hodge
