  1. Perfect set up for line and road clearance work real cool set up
  2. Is that turning it clockwise or anti clockwise?
  3. Cheers guys it is satisfiying you have a complete mess and few hours later you make a few paths clear a area and looks hundred times better! Being somewhere to ride my quad is just a perk of doing it Andy its good that some people do the same thing helping the future thats how we used to do it when i was a kid in work partys with the locals only trouble is they would need to be weekends which i can do with football etc but once i get the bulk done myself and actually get into the main area people can go in there and do there bit as and when.
  4. had spare few hours today so went over to get stuck into my little project im doing for my local village its only the 2nd time ive been over there so far. its some old brick pits that got turned into a wild life habitat place, they first started clearing it before i was born in the 1980s they were still doing it in the 1990s i used to go up there as a kid with my dad to help the locals clear it all. to cut a long story short we had cleared most of the site and layed down shells to make paths, planted trees. then people died, people moved away and it has been left for 15years there or there abouts. theres a main path that goes all the way through the edge of it which is very overgrown, but other than that no paths are now visible so im making my own paths as i go. my dad loves birds and all that and the parish council wanted to get something done about the place so i offered my services its nice to get stuck into it, i think back to the times i had in there when i was a kid. its nice to get it opened up again for the next generation of kids to muck about in more pics to follow as i get more done.
  5. If you want a back up just tie some rope from the bit that stops the shoot swinging 360 to the chipper lifting eye ive seen people do that then you dont have to drill and alter the machine.
  6. No one i know including me have had any issues in the last 6 years ive been using timberwolfs
  7. Cool vid enjoyed that apart from the mouse sounding chainsaw, looks really good with a few different angles on the same tree i no that must have taken awhile to edit. Thanks for sharing
  8. Takes some balls to absail on a single line from that height Bet the views are amazing though!
  9. Not my cup of tea i wouldnt have thought! Was it a bridge im guessing?
  10. I charge 350 - 500 a for 2 guys and truck and chipper depends targets whats involved how many tip off trips distance to job etc etc guy i work for alot charges 500+vat a day and is stacked out with work a number of jobs people have been cheaper but if you stick to your guns come accross professional have a good solid reputation they will pay abit more to get a good job. When times are quiet i still wont drop my prices ive bern told you can be a busy fool or work 3 days a week for decent money and earn the same and its true.
  11. used ed several times my self he has impressed me and my usual guys i use (who have there own companys) which in turn has led to him doing work with them aswell. he shows up on time ready to work, gets stuck in to what is asked of him. hope you find more work soon ed ill see you all next week wont i with dan?

  13. Ive herd all about the hassle they have with working in that mental hospital having to have locks on everything is it still the same? Nicely done btw i like second pic with the guy in background looks like a midget ontop of the log
  14. i bought it from rock machinary saw them at the APF show £250 all in
  15. I didnt cause that was the day i got it was just testing it but it rotates 360 degree so i cud have just swung it round and put it on the back the ladder rack gets in the way a tad but its doable i only use it to lift stuff from the rear anyways so all good
  16. Bought this little half ton crane lift for my tipper for a certain job turning out very useful.
  17. I priced in a little swing lift half ton hiab for my truck to lift stuff onto the trucks so shouldnt be to bad drive right upto the tree.
  18. Well either 2 days if i use a crane to pick the timber or ive allowed 4 days to dismantle it and remove it all by hand with 3 of us.
  19. i wanted the job, really looking forward to it. its easy climbing and rigging it, i wouldnt fancy being on the ground lifting all the timber about though! might hire a bobcat skidsteer in for a day. depends if im feeling mean that day or not
  20. pics dont really show the size but its had a survey it says its 110ft tall as it did when i messured it. base is about 5-6ft accross.
  21. Hi i have a big 110ft wellingtonia to dismantle end of december time, in norwich norfolk, just wanting to no if its of any value to people as i see alot of carvers etc useing it. Its all going to be ringed down unless someone wants it ill crane it onto lorrys. Pics to follow im on my phone at the minute its 5-6ft across at the bottom, single stem, dead straight.
  22. I dont like finance but its worth it in my eyes u no exactly what your getting and couple hundred each month to pay for it only needs to go out once or twice a month to cover the finance when you look at it like that its nothing
  23. Yer they say that but only if you pay like 50% of it as a deposit or something i cant remember the guy talked me through it its never as they describe! The finance companys do the finance based on the value of the machine they dont even check your credit rating there interested in how much the machine is worth and that your buying from a proper dealer if you dont pay the repayments they will take machine back and get there money back.
  24. Ditto I bought budget secondhand and never managed to do a job with it, so bought new timberwolf 125 i put least i could deposit and i pay 220quid a month my mate bought one layed 4grand down and he pays 120quid a month well worth getting new!
