  4. Ha Ha Ha Phychology:001_tongue: Maybe it is you that did the work, i think that it is possible I have touched a nerve or insulted you somehow. But like you quoted "I clearly wouldn't know what I was looking at anyway'' there's your answer to your whole issue. I think you need to calm down and chill out! Regards

  8. I wear Sidewinder (torrent) dry suit its amazing, worn it surfing and i really notice that i over heated massively due to getting worked harder than on a river i would agree and just wear a drytop and board shorts. I used to have a sidewinder shorty but i could only use it in the summer because it was so cold i thought i could take it but i wossed out. The Pyranha i3 is an amazing boat surfs lovely but my good the back end is slicey, if you wont a boat to stern squirt this is ideal!!
  9. Nice alround riverplay but they say the new pyranha plastic is not as strong as the old ones, i recently changed my liquid logic Lil'jo for a jackson 4fun same riverplay idea as the zone1 you'l love it.
  10. Thanks for the message but like you said your not an arborist and i am and i have been working in this industry since leaving school in 96, So with the greatest respect may be you dont know what your talking about or maybe you were in another part of the woods. As for pics could not work out how to put them on the forum as i am rubbish with a computer as arb is more my thing. Can give a guided tour upon request if you are implying that may be i am confused.
  11. no sadly not, the same track has been used for years. This is genuine i havent got a clue forestry (it infuriates me)!
  12. Been Watching the AWDC racing today at Minehead great event apart from someone has been working up in the woods with little more than what would appear a days training, the felling cuts are high with no hinges! most are more like step cuts! cord wood every where and this is on nice looking oak. We were horrified the fact that there are cowboys allowed to cut with less than a basic grasp of the simplest of tree work. It got to the stage where me and my mates where seeing who could spot the worst felling cuts, mind you it added nicely to the days entertainment. As for the rest of the woods which these rookie's have attempted to work their way through is little more than a discrace to our industry, there are piles of oak which resemble large habitat piles rather than fire wood stacks. We even took some pics for the hall of shame in our yard!! Please hang up your felling boots and get a job in Tesco's, Who are you because we could start a online collection and fund you some proper training!!!
  13. I have one you can rent,
  14. Dont put stickers on your helmet:bored:If its ''Box Fresh'' Just work harder, Students and newbies put stickers on there lids!!
  15. Fixed new plug and tuned
  16. Hi i carnt start my 88 the spark plug is black with soot, and im reluctunt to spend more money having it repaired.; any ideas?
  17. Funny you say that because iv had heard that he had been busy but got told the complete opposit, there was high stumps left every where, substandard prunning cuts and generaly poor arb practices leaving large stobs. Heard this from a guy within the NT at Holnicote there just not happy with the job.
  18. pm me if you are interested in getting on the railway and i can give you his number.
  19. Hi yes Rob Mullis you know him? great guy. I do a little subbing to him when he needs extra men, He works direct for UPMTilhill and Network Rail with a team of guys and covers the uk. Dont think West somerset railway would allow Robs railway lot loose, there would be no more tree's in west somerset. Although think he has a local team which does the odd bit for them as you still need pts. Your best bet for getting on the railway is by speaking to him, he's always on the lookout for good cutters. He might also be able to help you with your oak haulage. Roger
  20. Hi I got a good mate Robert based 5mile from minehead i have done a lot of railway cutting and climbing work with, he's a good honest chap who hires chippers of all sizes. He currently has: 8''tracked timberwolf unimog with 10'' front load shisling pto chipper 6''timberwolf and 4''vermeer allways been very reasonable on price and reliable but he usally needs a bit of notice as all his machines are busy on the railway. Definately worth giving him a call. If your interested PM me and i will give you his number, Cheers Roger
  21. I have a compact tractor and timber trailer & grab which i could hire, where abouts is the job and i can give you a price.
  22. Some times we need an extra climber on the railway (PTS no prob will get TVP) would you consider subbing him out to me occasionaly in Tiverton struggling to find a good one down here and yours sounds amazing if he is £120 a day PAYE. Whats your climber called, wonder if i know him because i know of some other really good climbers from up your way but sadly dont sub them selves out any more.
