  1. If you can weld and have access to a workshop, why not have a go at building a splitter to suit your needs. There's plenty of info on the web regards building a splitter, there pretty basic by design. I made this one.   4. it's quiet here unless your giving it away! There's a supplier from donegal sending lorry loads of nets into northern ireland for £1.50 each, and people delivering them for £2 to your door:thumbdown:

  12. There's going to be a big demand. People are buying cheap saws and going mad at cutting logs themselves over here. If fact lidl has a sale on saws and a cheap sharpener this week, and they were queued up on monday morning to buy them, all sold in 10 mins!

  15. I bought a 372xp several weeks ago for cutting firewood, and i can't see me going back to anything smaller. I bought it for speed of use, and i'm cutting mostly between 10 to 20inch dia. It makes the job a whole lot easier and the saw's weight is not an issue unless your of slight build.
  16. Can anyone tell me on average, how much does 1m3 of split and dried wood weighs?

    I bought a new 372xp a few weeks back. I can't fault it on the size of timber i'm cutting, mostly around 10 to 20 inch dia. It's quick cutting, light and has little vibes through the handles.
