  2. He failed the whole thing the grab just needs a new spring wire but the krab is knackard so won't be using that and the wire core is just beaten up and very well used lol I may just do what you said Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. I had a wire core strop it just failed its loler. So to save a bit of £ on buying another strop I am thinking of making one my self (not wire core obviously) If you have made your own what termination knots did you use?
  4. I am looking at buying some land to use as a yard. I have found some agricultural land with a barn on it. Can I use it as just a yard for my tree surgery business with out change of use? Or can I use it for a logging business and run my tree firm from it on the sly Or can I not do either?? and have to apply for change of use? Thank you
  5. Interesting add there, just out of curiosity what is the work? as thats an early start to start up a saw Good to have the work though
  6. Its allready been coverd a wee bit, but when I get payed from Joe Blogs I put it into my acount and then take a percentage out and put it into a savings acount. After all your expenses etc is taken out at the end of the year I usally have some £ left over that I can use, feels abit like a bonus really but the main thing is, is that you have the £ to pay mr tax man and never have to worry I know we all need cash flow but if times are really hard or you need abit of a loan then you can always take £ out of the "tax savings" just keep a record and make sure you put it back in when work is busy. I havent failed with this yet payed the tax man the day after I got my bill Just an idea
  7. Yer they will mate I am a tree surgeon not a photographer, My Iphone that I take them all on has saw dust over it most of the time, I have this argument all the time with my sister, but thanks anyway.

  11. Where do you live matey? Maybe you could get someone on here to come and do it for you. You should not have to rig this tree at all. If you had to do a light reduction you would have to climb right up the top and out to the tips, that tree will take your weight. Maybe you just need to watch someone to pick up some tips etc.
  12. Dont go for a harness just because everyone else has one! i climb in a tree motion and love it! great with the side d's on your legs when your chogging down with a big saw.
