Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get an operators manual and a parts manual for a John Deere Roberine 1203 cylinder mower?
Thanks

Palisade, Vmex panels (standard or prison type), weld mesh or expanded mesh are all options.

Keep checking with local companies/local authorites and something will pop up. I started climbing at 36 and had 10 great years before the opertunitiy came along to move onto something else. I was fortunate to meet a guy, when I started, who worked all over the UK which gave me fantastic experience, we even worked in London zoo, which was great fun.
Good luck

Used one a couple of times a few years ago, mighty impressive. Probably did the work of five men! If I had the money at the time I'd have bought one.

If they have not been cut then leave them alone. If they are pressure treated then that provides the seal. I would imagine that the posts may have been kiln dried prior to pressure treating. If the ends have been cut then an annual treatment with creosote (proper stuff, not the type sold in the DIY sheds) will give the best protection.

Just looking for a general opinion. What really is the best felling wedge to use, and what is the best 2 sizes? Any help/opinions?

Always used these, no real problems if you know how to use them.

HGV driver....
Already have my class 2, so half way there.
But left the job literally weeks before the DCPC came into force, so just need that.
But was recommended to go for my ADR too this time round after a customer came to our work (he was an actual transport manager for a big company)...
Don't know if this is a step in the right direction!!

McVeigh Parker sell these interlocking plastic pavers and will be cheaper than the figures on here.

The price on saws from Jones stand for saws was very good last APF!! A lot cheaper than online
Life's all about moving forward, you learn what you can and crack on!!
Second that.

Around 15ft it's to use for supports for a tractor shed I'm going to build
I've got real heavy ones think they are between 4 -5m. I'll measure tomorrow and let you know if you're still interested.

Great video and a professional job. You were asked to do the job on the back of a report, what's to shout about.

Always used a 14" on my 200t and don't see any reason to change but I'm probably "old school"!!

Typical of peat harvesting machinery. I worked in the industry for 20 years and you certainly see plant that has been used to distruction. Much of it has been modified to do the job as there is nothing available off the shelf. I've seen tractors with 19000hrs on the clock and still going strong!

Don't buy a petrol one, you won't be able to leave the man killer at home!! Quickfencer are selling hydraulic versions which you can run of a power pack.
It makes a huge difference to their efficiency if you get the correct size of sleeve for the posts you are knocking
-
32 - 40kg. Thats hefty to get above head height.
£1400 + vat.
-
Yes. This is one I'd seen. It'll be what go for if i can't find better.
We sell these. Light enough for one man operation.

Hydraulic Post Drivers - Atlas Copco United Kingdom
Something like that?
Seriously heavy. Two man job to lift it or hang from a mini digger. Great at knocking in posts. We have been showing them off at agricultural shows for the past few months.

The new BS8596 allows for a greatly simplified survey (non-specialist scoping survey) to be done to establish if there is low or negiligible risk of disturbing bat roosts. It's a combination of age, condition, species and position of trees and proximity to bat foraging areas. If this is all-clear, practices vary but the ecologists I work with generally say an all-clear buys you about 2 weeks to get in and remove the trees. This is not in the British Standard but it would seem to be a reasonably defensible position.
I'm not touting for business but I have undergone the bat awareness training required by the British standard and if you are stuck for an all-clear I will coincidentally be in the Borders on Wednesday to Saturday on tree survey and could possibly do you a scoping survey. It's a written report, barely a page, minimal charge if it's an all-clear, slightly higher charge if a climb (possiblly with endoscope) is required. And a verbal OK on the day if appropriate.
And to answer the question, a time limit is normal but 2 days is I believe unnecessarily stringent.
PM if you want or carry on discussing here.
I could be wrong but I don't think the "Bat Awareness Course" qualifies you to carry out an endoscope survey, from memory I think you need the Bat Handlers Licence, It's a few years since I surveyed for bats but that was the case then. The time of year could have a lot to do with the time constraints as bats could use the smallest of cavitities for "Day Roosts"

Aye Jake, things always go better after a good blow!

Kawasaki carbs are not a huge fan of ethanol in the petrol IME , had a pile in to get ultrasonic cleaned at the start of the season , remove the carb bowl and check for any sign of water , dirt ect possibly just a bit of grit in the main jet
"Bang on" with your diagnosis. Blew the main jet out and it is running like a dream:thumbup: Thanks

I have a Countax K1850 mower with a Kawasaki engine. I went to start it Yesterday but it will only run with the choke out slightly or with my hand over the air intake. Fuel filter is OK but obviously not getting the fuel it needs. Any help would be welcome.
Job in Aberdeen
in General chat
Posted
Anyone interested in doing a job in Aberdeen for a mate of mine? My mate works for a large company and they have a tree with a branch which overhangs a neighboring property and they want the branch removed. I know it is a bit vague but let me know if you're interested and I'll pass your details on.
Thanks
