  1. Just had a quote from Arbinsure (just up on the right !) for similar set up,although without tool cover, total was just over £500 - but this included employee cover, without this it was nearly half the cost. Low price seemed to hinge on low turnover, which is not a problem for me!
  2. Thanks very much chaps- Trailer looks ideal, but i'm down in deepest Sussex - should have mentioned it last week shouldn't I ,could have dropped it off !!!
  3. Not quite sure where to post this, but I guess it is equipment ! Does anyone know the ins and outs of using laden forwarding trailers behind a legal tractor on the road - can't think that I've ever seen one. reason being that I have the opportunity to fell and extract a sizable amount of firewood timber (80 - 100 tons at a very rough guess) at a site that is only 3 miles from my yard. It will probably need to be extracted from the felling site by forwader anyway, and I was wondering if it's possible/viable to trundle it all the way behind that tractor rather than offloading it and arranging for roadside pick up - trying to keep costs and handling to a minimum
  4. Excellent, just what I was after - Thanks very much for that
  5. Do any of you chaps know where I can get hold of a couple of Roller Shutter doors - as fitted for tool lockers etc. into the side of vehicles. Ideally I'm after the aluminium extrusions that can be chopped to suit the available space (400mm ish) - new or secondhand ! Cheers Steve
  6. Hi All,another post redundancy life change going on here ! not been let go yet,but trying to sort out a tree related living before I actually go,and Arbtalk is proving to be a great source of information (and amusement) Cheers Steve
  7. you are absolutley right, the butt is shorter on the 130 than the 110,fortunately this time it's deliberate as it gives the opportunity to stretch the cab and provide a secure storage area for a tool locker behind the seat, and dog storage above that - well thats the plan anyway !:001_smile
  8. I've just bought a 130 hi-cap tub to do much the same for my 110. The chap I purchased the tub off is based near to Stanstead - he had an alloy tipper bed up for sale - also does the tipper conversion work himself,I'll pass his number on if it's of any interest
