  1. Hi I have been using them on my truck for the last 2 years. Great value for money and last well. Not to noisy on the road and provide a fair amount of grip off road. I mainly do rights of way work lots of off road and around 20k in total per year after 2 years they still have plenty of tread left. Once again for the price well worth it.
  2. Just make sure he keeps up with the exercises they give him!
  3. Hi Just spoke to a lady today and informed me that there will be training grants available for people living in Shropshire. Basic 50% (maybe 75%)of course cost will be covered! courses have to forestry related though. Money should be available from next month. Any body interested PM and ill send you the phone number. Tom
  4. Thank you very much, i will give them a call. Once again thank you Tom
  5. I am biased as i live around 10 miles from the factory but Clearview stoves follow me into every home i go into. Just up graded mine to a 650 will do 10 - 12 radiators as well as 5kw into the room!! So for me Clearview expensive but worth it
  6. A long time ago (well 9 years) i used to coppice Alder along river banks in south Shropshire for charcoal, part of a project to bring alder back into use. Back then you could not give the stuff away for fire wood but made great charcoal. One other thing is that Alder used to be used in clog making was very resistent to the chemicals they used to use in the weaving industry. One of the main reason why the west Midlands has so many large coppice stools along its water ways. And its still a HUGE untapped resource. Tom
  7. Hi Any body have any recommendations on timber merchants in the south Shropshire area. Looking to buy a Arctic load of soft wood to go through a processor and thought i would see if there was any one you lot could recommend in that area?. as a after thought maybe even looking for hardwood depending on price. Thanks for your time Tom
