with woods you will be working are you doing it for the wood as payment you cut or do the land owners pay you to be there and give you the wood as payment if you dont mind me asking i find on my estate most of the thinning jobs that we do are at cost to the estate grants cover some of it but not much when we get the chance to do big stuff or over stood coppice we can cut and extract a amout to make it pay,the main aim is conservation here and to maintain the capital value of the woods ,
