Sam can I ask a favour. If you find yourself next to your truck with a tape measure. Could you measure from the back of the cab to the end of the chassis. The extra cab has a better load cap by 500kg over the single cab. I am thinking of getting my tipper body put on one. I did a cheapo job on an old hilux with a new body with the intension of putting it on a newish truck if it proved itself. Its so far been indestructable but there is only so much abuse a 12 year old truck will take.
I thought the single cab would have more load space

Whats the king cab like for room in the rear seats?

Do you guys realise Steve started this thread in 2009!

I think people are also tending to mistake turnover for profit. Selling £500 worth of wood per week is hugely different to receiving £500 wages per week.

A friend of mine has made me a custom log splitter, and has now made a second for himself. Would anyone be interested in one as he is thinking of doing this on a regular basis. It has a seven inch splitting wedge, and splits wood up to 700mm long. Need flow rate of at least 30l/min and has return rate of 20 seconds on tractor tick over. £1100?
Without seeing pictures it seems a bit pricey.
Not sure what the average return rate is, but 20 seconds sounds a bit of a wait

Looks a fine grab
Proper tractor too!
Is it a TL or a 35 series ?
-
Surely £1300 would come close to a new one

We can produce at the prices we do without fail as our other businesses support the raw material we need to be ultra competitive within the kindling sector, this along with the 80k investment made within the last month brings new methods to the table which will ensure a fixed long term price based on the order quantity and commitment received from our new customer base?
What size are the bags? They look loosely filled?

I would go with a small 12v hiab. 300kg per bag + hiab should get 5 or 6 on rather than 2 and it would be quicker and you could put over low walls etc.
I would agree. Something like this (sold) would be far more versatile.

I don't check arbtalk every day.. It's still for sale, I'm not in any rush and am busy. When I checked I had a number of offers. Obviously I am going to listen, especially if one involves me finding a pallet and organising shipping.
You have been online numerous times since I sent you the PM.
I asked if you could put it on a pallet ( hardly a huge task) I never expected you to ship it, I would have arranged collection once my payment had cleared.
No longer interested anyway.

I havent heard from Ben since I pm'ed him to say I would take it at the price he asked.
I'm presuming he got a better offer.
Not great form by either seller or buyer IMO, but such is life.
-
Ben, did you get my pm yesterday?
-
I'll take it!

If a firewood merchant can get £200/m3, I say good luck to him.
After production costs are taken into account, its down to supply and demand after that.
It would be a pretty rubbish businessman that wouldnt try to get the best price possible for his product.
-
Totally, tree 6 six days a week atm with log deliveries in the evening.
Pretty much stripped out of dry wood which was about 2000m3.
Thats a lot of firewood!

We've got one, heavier duty than the riko, with two grabs, its sitting about doing nothing.
Yours for £250. I'll get some photos
I'm interested!

Thanks.
The Strimech one looks a bit heavy, was talking to Riko salesman just now and their one seems to be what I'm after.

May have misunderstood you, though you meant a bulker of processed wood..

You would really want to get the dimensions of the trailer. I recently priced an 'artic load' of ash and the guy selling it claimed it was 50m3. Ive yet to enquire what the dimensions of the body are, but id imagine it would want to be a 40ft'er
