  1. i got given the book when i done the dismatel course very good book indeed deffo worth buying helped me out alot
  2. iv'e been in this game for a year now and i have done about 6 monoliths just been lucky i guess. i really like doing this type of work it breaks up from norm of tree surgery work that we carry out.
  3. nice idea mate am starting to become very interested in the ways of ecology and different things that we can do to inhance it in our line of work

  5. good on you mate there seems to be mixed opinions on this type of work. but tbh why not what harm is it doing none as long as ther is a good monitoring system in place all is good

  13. thanks chap yeah some clients just don't give a damm really we seem to be convincing a few clients to take on this idea . when you sit them down and explian the outcome of the work there interested straight away. this is the first one i've done in an urban area so will be interesting to see what ecological value it brings to the area
  14. there was a survey done on the site and evidance of bats where found as for intrest the public they seem to be intrigued so for and generating a lot of interest to surronding residents so far so good. the client is a local housing partership and seem to be very excited in what we are doing due to it ticking boxes for enviromental issues.

  17. i love your work chap a did one on saturday on a sycamore a was toying with the idea of getting them to introduce ivy to the tree but dont know if this a good idea or not. heres some pics
  18. i believe the minimun breaking strength is 5,000 pounds but an not to sure just remember that figure for some reason sorry cant be much more help

  20. any other time a would tell the boss to beat it but its a good interesting site we're working on for a local houseing partnership. do you no of jm barrie the author of peter pan ? well this is the house he was born and the place that he got his inpiration to write the book. the house and gardens have fallen into severe disrepair for many years and i feel it would be nice to see this place back to its former glory and be part of this project. it would'nt hurt the buisness either throught the publicity of the project ha lol
