  1. I have an Aga little wenlock classic which has the airwash for the glass and is also defra approved. When I first got it I couldn't stop it roaring. To solve it I took the washers out of the air wheel so it shuts dead tight and with some black fire cement I neatly blocked off the top vents. Now when you screw the wheel in tight the fire goes down instantly and will keep in easily all night which isn't bad seeing as its a tiny fire! This airwash low emission business is all a bit unessecary in my opinion

Last sentence. What makes you say that?

  2. Mick, I am going to turn you in to them folks taking down your tag number:sneaky2:

Take care, watch out for them "bloody yanks"

    Thanks

    easy-lift guy

Over sexed, over payed and bloody well over here..........:laugh1:

We'd have been stuffed without ya in ww2 Ted.......:thumbup1:

  3. It's to do with the rear vent, close that a bit and it will burn slower but you'll create more emissions. I keep the rear vent on my Hunter wide open and keep it ticking over at night with half a dozen nuggets of 'Homefire ecoal 50'........google it, it's good stuff.

  4. A whole bunch of mcd vouchers came through the letter box today. I put em in the truck for later but decided against it and lobbed em out the window while I was driving through the lanes. That'll learn them bloody yanks, they won't come round here putting stuff through my letterbox again.

Calm down girls, it's only a thread about an idea I have.

  5. When the last time that anyone heard of a litter lout being fined for dropping litter? Its about time a few laws were enforced. I get litter from McDonalds near my workshop and I'm about 3 miles away from their nearest place. Their litter appears to be very mobile!

The local rag had an article about two people dropping fag butts, both were fined eighty quid each but refused to pay. After it had gone to court they each had to pay about two hundred and eighty quid.......:laugh1::thumbup1:

  6. Just out of interest, how many pick litter up either where you live or working if you see it lying around? We used to have keep Britain tidy ads when I was growing up & it was a cleaner country. Maybe if other people saw litter being picked up by general jo some may follow suit & educate others in doing the same. Just a thought.

Me, I collect half a bins worth that blows on to the front garden per week.

Tell ya what else gets my back up, sad losers who throw their scratch cards on the deck. You see em walking along clutching their chance of a few extra quid and when they realise they've lost they just drop it. Thats when they console themselves with a sausage roll and lob that wrapper aswell.

  7. Never work Mondays. Pricing, but I don't really count that as work.

Treat yourself to something brand new, you can take your pick then. Best motor I ever bought was my 03 L200 from new. Nobody else has ever driven it which is why it is in good nick and runs well.
