  8. Saturday is work gear wash day for me. Stein jacket had its 4th day in heavy rain.Wrong time of year for me to wear anything other than a t shirt so i was drenched with sweat. However, although the frontside got covered in mud and tree slime i was protected. It washed well at low temperature and the pocket kept my stuff clean and dry.
  9. Great video on you tube of a bloke sharpening them... certainly a good skill to have!
  10. Will certainly give you a shout when i'm your way Eggs. We need a new destination for Xmas Jon....Tuckers is a VERY very long way away for some of us (over 500 miles round trip!) Kev's Kingdom was the best location i've been to so far as it has a bar with lake views and fishing and a Barrel of never ending beer....camping...tree climbing......quad course etc..etc.... but thats up North.......we need a Central point so everyone can come.
  11. I't will be some time before i venture South again my friend.. i will make my last journey this year to visit the Village Idiot then i'm dropping the Anchor for a while..........

  17. Long rope....short rope...dry rope...wet rope....running your system through a saver makes a HUGE difference on wet climbs...i find blue tounge rather water resistant-ish
  18. Thanks for that Marc.
  19. But to get back to your qustion Ian,i usually wake at 5 a.m but arrive at the yard for 7 a.m...
  20. Well Ian...it's 2.49 a.m and i've just woken up now! But that's because i fell into bed as soon as i walked through the door!😪 done my second day of line clearance yesterday and even though we didn't start till shutdown at about 10.30 a.m i was negotiating barley fields...brambles....nettles and a river with the poles all day after that....found it very hard and it finnished me of...picture is of my workmate off to site. I like the tree climbing clearance stuff but i've never been a fan of an old Silky head on 4 or 5 poles. But apparantly you can't use a power pruner on a shutdown...so yeaterday was my worst day in years😃😃 i like efficiency and i reckon with a clearing saw and a power pruner the job would be far less energy zapping.may have to look into it. Anyone know what the rules are on power pruners and lines (shut downs)?
  21. Been there a long time...i like them a lot.
  22. But just because i experienced a stunning sunrise on my way to work passing my second favourite things (Windmills/turbines) it didn't follow that my day would be as uplifting........
