  3. I get this noise sometimes too. Seems to occur when the newer saws are used. Figured it must be something to do with interference from the electronics.
Turning the sena off and back on again stops it for awhile.

  4. I have a 2011 TW190 and noticed that there is squeak.

Thought it was the rollers, but when they are rolling the squeak stops.

Only does it when the rollers have stopped!

Any ideas what it will be please?

    Cheers...Al

    No, nothing?? Must be something.

I had a lace snap, as did my colleague, Al - you met him at the first aid course Al.

Emailed Boa support, sent a photo and they send out 4 repair packs, which is the twisty dial bit and wire lace. All done in about three days. I was able to still wear the boots with the snapped lace, as it was the bottom one.

Boots are wearing well, and still extremely comfortable. I still recommend then.

  6. My wife works for the nhs front line making chemo for cancer patients(on a shit wage), my son is a paramedic front line and so is my younger sons girlfriend, they are essential workers making us all safer and better,  me running a tree team out in uncertainty isn't essential, (money is needed, yard rent, chipper payments etc) I have a great bunch of lads and have decided for there safety and my customers we will abide by what boris has asked and take three weeks off, now I hate being home like the rest of us, (and wish I had a government salary/not my wifes) but if everybody says ,"oh it doesn't mean me" then its insulting to the ones who try and fix things and do as there told, my customers will still be there in three weeks time, and I will make sure there`s plenty of bonus payments to my lads,as I do when were busy.
I will be keeping myself busy doing stuff at home ,cleaning the garage ,finishing my shed etc,you tube etc,,,stay safe in whatever you decide to do.

    Exactly this Clive.
What we do is not absolutely necessary or essential in my view.

We are shutting until told otherwise.

Great to hear! Not just cheaper but much better for the environment and air quality. The local kiln drier to me gets 40% efficiency so he burns 40 t wood for every 100t of firewood logs.....not sure how that is better for air quality. I think it only works for him due to RHI.

Do you process at the end of winter/spring and dry over 1 season before selling? Do you have any issues with condensation? Any tips for purchase/operation?

    Thanks!

I process when ever I get the chance. Split straight into ibc crates and stack two high in the poly tunnel. The lower part of the sides being mesh and the ends of the poly tunnel being open gives good airflow, so no condensation problems. And when the sun comes out it’s like a kiln inside!!

Ive had beech dry within 6 months.

Did you do this? How has it worked - are you getting moisture below 20% consistently? Bearing in mind recent legislation proposals I'm wondering if this is the way to achieve 20% without loosing loads of wood to a kiln or having the cost of a kiln!

It works a dream. Wood dries quicker than being outside. I delivered some wood to a customer the other day who also had some kiln dried ash.
we checked the moisture of each and his kiln dried ash was 14%, my poly tunnel dried oak and beech was 12%!

    And a damn site cheaper!

  9. Anyone had any success in replacing the pipe in one of these original push fit fittings ?

    IMG_9028.jpg

I’m hoping to be able to cut it just behind the brass fitting, where the pipe has cracked and push it back in again.

Would like to know if it’s possible before committing to the knife! This part is obsolete now and will take 7 days to get a replacement from Italy

    Cheers

You can try replacing the bracket that covers the rod as if that wears it allows the rod to jump out (think its about £12-15) and the rods as the end of them that fits into the blades wears. Unfortunately ive found out a couple of times now that the hole in the blades wear and need replacing which isnt a cheap fix.

    Cheers. This part?
