  1. I have noticed a few crimson king trees in the area with random areas of dead branches on them. on one tree half the tree is completely dead and the other side is absolutely fine. I will try and get some pic's soon but if anyone has any advice on what causes it, it would be interesting to know. thanks
  2. I use a firm in Bedford called PHT printing they charged about £100 for the stickers for my canter, that price was just supply not sticking them on.
  3. I'll try the Lego trick first. It looks like my sons going to have a incomplete Lego set after Christmas, lol!
  4. It's the plastic section on the bottom of saw, I think I might have dropped it on a stone or something. If I can't fix it, it would be a very expensive repair bill as its the whole handle, air filter and carb section will need to be replaced.
  5. Any tips on mending a crack of about 1cm on the underside of a ms460. I have tried chemical metal but that just comes off when the fuel comes through. I have thought about trying to solder it just to mend the hole, and then cover it with a plastic patch glued on to give it a bit more strength. Any other ideas that have worked for anyone else?

    Socks!

I find no matter what type of socks you wear you still get cold feet. Years ago I tried some thick inner soles for my boots, they are made of a type of rubber about 6-8mm thick, and these stop the cold coming through the sole. I have used these for years with only a thin pair of socks and my feet are nice and warm all year, even when working in snow.
  7. I got one a couple of weeks ago, when I needed access with my 4x4 so I added the price of it to the job. they take a bit of getting used to but now I have got used to it I would say 90% of the wood chip comes out the back of the truck. I think it might struggle with a full pick up load of chip, mine works fine but I have a crew cab l200 so there is only 1-1.5m3 of chip in the back.
  8. Good news. The police noticed my chipper at the back of a gypsy site in Kempston, just outside Bedford, went in a got it back for me. Obviously no one will be prosecuted, but in the last few years quite a few chippers have been recovered from this site alone.
  9. it doesn't look like a gas axe, more like a set of hydraulic cutters. but even on the yale lock it looks like they just snipped straight through that as well. our stump grinder was behind the chipper, which they pulled out to try, but I think they only had one truck otherwise that would have gone as well. yes we are insured, so I'll see what they say today.
  10. cut through 2 padlocks, and cut away a 5mm steel cover over centre lock like it was a baked bean tin. then all that's left of a high security hitch cover is the section that goes in the tow ball.
  11. timberwolf 150 taken last night, from out of a shipping container, in north Bedfordshire.
  12. we have a yard a couple of miles, mk side of bedford, if thats any help. could take both chip and wood. you can phone my boss, peter large, to discuss it further. 01234 824461
