  1. Im sick of these comments so i replied with the same intergrity none. If i put down an opinion and some one gives that response i believe tit for tat.
  2. Its incrimination i would bet the bank on it. If you put any information public about a person or company that can and will harm their reputation or incriminate them i think you will find yourself in hot water. Unless you have undeniable proof. And more to the point why bother you will always get rougue traders. Always do a good job you will never be short of work reccommendations are what power most small companies advertising only gets you so far. I hope this offers some insight.
  3. If you put other companies names on here with out their permission which you wont get you will be sued. Including members of this forum as no consent has been given by any member to allow damaging information to be portrayed about any individual. I get pissed when i hear name an shame what disgusting behaivour. Its like play ground bullying. Why waste time worrying about crap tree workers get on with your own business. If your that good why are you bitching about some one elses work they aint about you their to busy earning money. Some people dont have a flare but love the job who are you to stop them
  4. I make sure nothing can go wrong its called planning work site organisation. I have never in all my time in the trade hurt no one or nothing not because of luck but because i make sure i plan my work. I know what my insurance covers i did have to go through it before i got the policy and since im clearly getting a excellent deal im not going to tell other people thats the competition. Like it or not we are all competing for the same work.
  5. I belive you mate just always been told different just shows how much fog is in the air.
  6. You are not even worth a reply what tosh you talk. I have had my insurance examined by tpo officers and every thing is tip top im fully covered without tickets its the first thing thats asked. Wow you really believe a couple of week long courses makes some one more competent than my 5 odd yrs every day in a tree I smell me some
  7. I was under the impression you could only tow 3500 max inc chipper so say a tranny weighs 2200 and a 750 chipper you can only carry 550 of chip. I may be wrong but thats what i have been led to think.
  8. I have never had a job were you could not clearly see a climber. I guess as long as your planning is clear colours should not matter. When working 1 groundie should always be assisting the climber and keeping an eye on things. So i think what ever makes ya feel sexy lol.
  9. It does make me chuckle when some guys state that its the uqualified tree workers that do the bad work. I know the level of quality in my work has always been above most of the big companies where quantity not quality matters. As long as your insured thats all that matters and it would not be insurance if it did not fully cover you just make sure any and all aspects of tree work are covered. I do appreciate your post pecon as when i do my tickets i will to get pissed off by people with out them but we all start at the bottom and half the reason i personally have stalled is because they are not required it does make you think twice. Skill is in the individual.
  10. Every one has every right to make money where they can stop moaning about nptc and all the rest. Im fully insured 5m unlimited height the works i dont have nptc i have 5 years climbing non stop i save myself thousands right now while im still starting out on my own. So im more competative than someone with a ticket when i have money to spare i will go on the 4 1 week long courses. Boys the fact remains nptc or any other paper is not required to work in the domestic sector and it will never change in our working life because to much tax is earned from gardening sales in big companys like homebase etc. If you guys with your quals are so much better then surely you should have all the work im not digging just want to see your response to this post I get plenty of work based on my quality most of my work is word of mouth Work hard do a quality job and in a year or two you should be flat out.
  11. I wear a black kong skid lid. Love it does the job i dont wanna look like a traffic cone or lolly pop thanks lol. I cant stand hi viz vests feel like a tit. But groundies i like to make stand out haha.
  12. Its all total rubbish pre 97 drivers can drive 7.5 tonnes im pretty sure driving standards are 100 times more difficult now than pre 97 so todays drivers have to be far superior to pre 97. Its all just to earn money for nothing. The younger guys today start far ahead of the old guys every test in every field is harder longer and costs more. But training guys up is all a tax loss so what would you rather loose your money to.
  13. I see today 121p a litre makes me wanna buy a horse and cart lol
  14. love second hand means i can start up quicker easier and still earn the same as you with your brand new machine who breaks even first makes more money and then sails past.
  15. The only people who dont use leaflets are snobs who think there better than that igotta few ideas who lol. You will also see people dont wanna give good advice as they all think they will loose work or dont like other people getting work. Keep banging your company name out there do excellent work and in maybe 2-3 years you should be established. It aint easy but keep pushing through and that will put you ahead of the lazy companies that rely on yell etc. Personally i think a good leaflet delivered by the tree surgeon him/her self shows dedication and thoroughness.
