  1. My grinder only cost £2k and has more than paid for itself but i cant justify getting a bigger one much as i would like to. There are 4 companies round here who have £36k Carltons or similar and i know that they are cutting each others throats. There just is'nt the work out there, if I get a really big stumpgrinding job I just contract it out to these guys.
  2. Both the Treemotion and the tree flex have the ability to adjust the height of the D ie the point of balance I find this very useful. The back support on the tree flex is great even with a big saw on it.
  3. Does nobody like the treeflex? Been using it for 6 months, really like it, only mods are 2 Petzl quickdraws with the Bow shackles off a Komet butterfly 2 attached so you can comfortably hang off your strop, also safer for felling big tops out.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
