  1. Can anyone tell me if it is possiblt to paint Ifor Williams canopys that go on pickup backs? I have been told they cannot be painted. Anyone know anything about why not?
  2. Are there other treeforums? I did see the ISA had one about 10 years ago, but it wasn't very good. This is a lot better as there are more people.
  3. Good idea and good luck with it.
  4. We're all proud of you, and depressed thinking we need to go and join the gym, thanks.
  5. I liked this one The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its Ph is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.
  6. They are no doubt nervous about telling people the price, it looks very high spec, many of my treework buddies just want a good transit 4wd sized tipping van, like a bremach but less stupid looking.
  7. It says they have designed it for gardeners, it will cost more than 70K I reckon, not many gardeners could afford that.
  8. Can you tell us who the company is? I might know them or know soemone who does.
  9. Be careful with vegetables http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/1824156.stm
  10. I like music like Kate Bush and Neil Young, here's Kate up on the moors. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfGc4wcil2g]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfGc4wcil2g[/ame]
  11. That makes me anxious as well. I suffer from anxiety and stress which makes me get acid reflux, which makes it hard for me to swallow dry food. It all gets bunged up in my gullet and I start to get anxious. Hopefully I'll get that operation where they put a balloon down your throat and blow it up.
  12. Is that the one with the fatter chute? Why dont they stick that chute on all Timberwolfs instead of the orange drainpipe that always get clogged?
  13. I've used a 190, better than the 150 for sure, but thats like saying a lada is better than a yugo. Sorry.
  14. No, its just that I like to check my jobbies for health reasons so when I saw a black one it made me anxious. Some people get anxious, thats all.
  15. An old man made us sausage sandwiches for lunch one day and they were raw. Like pinky raw. There was no way we were eaten them and we're not exactly fussy eaters. He was so happy with his offering, it was hellish trying to lose them around the garden.
  16. Looks like nice work for those machines. Nice log lorry.
  17. I thought that section in that magazine was a spoof! didn't realise you were being serious, oh well..takes all sorts suppose.
  18. That chipper looks very capable.
  19. Should think so to, old people are mostly nice, they have a lot to teach the younger selfish generations but the young people know best right? Most of my clients are auld yins but they always pay because they know what it means to be poor. No more pensioner bashing please!
  20. I once got a blind/sight translator to make me up a quote in braile for a blind man who wanted a small stump dug out. It was a useful exercise. I'm all set for the next blind person who wants treework done.
  21. Weight - 1650 kgs, I go over a weighbridge nearly every day with a similar sized load.
  22. That happened to me once, ever since then I do a written quote and the customer has to sign it before any work goes ahead. If they dont sign, the job doesnt get done. If I have to do extra work on the job I negotiate a new price and the customer has to sign again or I dont do the extra work. Sometimes they look at me funny, I just tell them I'm running a business not a pawn shop.
  23. Thank you everyone for the advice I will try all those things apart from Guinness as I tried that once before and it made me do black jobbies which was a bit unsettling. I was also told today that to get the best out of spinach you have to drink fresh orange juice as this helps the iron absorb into your body. Thanks again for all the help
