1.
Yep - they will go right dandy on a 60" bar - I have a set of 56" rails currently on my 59" Stihl bar and 090 - works a treat!

  2.
Should be going out tom and with you Thurs

  3. Alright Alex - you should get your mill Tuesday.

  4.

Nope you understood right Ross! It is strange how on the 10" bar it needed an extra drive link! Seems in the 12" dime tip it doesn't... I buy an MS150C in order to double check this as getting a bit painful now!

Do you have anyone near you who can take a drive link out? I will re reimburse any costs - or I can send you over 68 drive link chains and you send those couple back. Let me know. Rob

  5.

Hi Sam - yes I have the Sugi bars 18" but only in the pro solid version with replaceable nose £55+vat, Husky 3/8 drive sprocket £30+vat and chains depends on what you have,

Rob

  6. No worrys Mark. Tell them to give me a call when they're ready and we'll sort the details out, cheers, rob

  7.

Hi Dave - if you go to my website - prices are better than ebay and if you put in arbtalk you will get a freebie thrown in, Rob

Chainsawbars ? chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars and chainsaw accessories

  8. Yeh phil especially with sycamore and beech which is not so good outdoors but goes really hard when it's dry....

    Rob

  9. Yes we send to France - if it's just a bar and x2 chains prob best to send Royal Mail but not sure how much it will be... I get charged £30-00+vat now using a UPS service for parcels up to 25kg.... Around 2 to 3kg is cheaper Royal Mail.

Best thing is go to website, sign up straight away then send me a PM or message here so I can set your discount of 10%.

Then order - if only a smaller order when you get right to the end and it's asking what card type hit cancel... this still sends me a copy of the order. I'll have to then collect payment after sending.

    File size 3/16".

    Hope this makes sense, Rob

  10.
Hi Will - that set up is a good one to go for - maybe the granberg precision grinder to sharpen the chain nicely as well... Pricewise the mill will be £199-00+vat (minus 10% if you order before the 20th Oct - after 20th Oct there will be throw ins for arbtalk members). Chains - you can always get the prices off the website here if you need more info Chainsaw mills

  11.
Thanks for trying Ross - I will get x2 chains off to you Monday...

  12.

Hmmm - that is a very good question! I am away at the minute but I am pretty sure it is anti clockwise... but not sure how much a different a result it would give if the stone turned the other way.

But ot sure I have a vid here but even looking closely it is hard to tell!!

  13. No you can't unfortunetly... however I'm getting the new prototype frame for chainsaw milling (next week in fact!) that I'm helping to design. It'll be like the winch production frame Peterson mill but with a chainsaw! i.e the saw will swing from horozontal to vertical and you'll also be able to put a large alaskan in it. All height adjustments will be done on the frame....

Exciting stuff! But it'll be a while before I can put some pics up. As soon as I'm allowed I will!

  14. Ok Adam - and I've flagged that problem with the website developer as it has cropped up a couple times.

So your discount is set - for a smaller order - place it and then on checkout hit 'cancel'. If you think will be larger and weigh more than 5 kilos then go all the way through and pay as normal as it will have to go via UPS then.

  15. Aright Hodge, Hmmmm..... so tricky.... basically I have heard bad things about the 880 but worse things about the 3120.... neither are as good as they should be but I would get an 880. It's such a shame that there is no standout saw at this size.

Shocking really given the prices but there you go that's life!

  16.

It's possible - but only have laminated in 18" - still good bars... Now 20" I have the shiny light type pro bars - put your saw in here to get prices Guide bars

If you order put in arbtalk as voucher code for a free gift!

  17. I've got a 30" sachs dolmar solid nose bar. It's second hand. You can have for £25-00 + vat. Cheers, Rob

  18.

Hi Nathan - we have the Sugi pro and light type pro in 28"... but other than that would be an oregon powermatch bar:

All found here : Guide bars

  19. Cheers Mozza!!

Just a chilled one with me and the missus. 37 now so not long till I draw me pension!

  20.

They are 138 drive links .404 .063

It's a bit of a pain that bar - nose seems to get hot and chain tension seems to go from tight to slack but it will do the job.

Works best on the older slower saw, cheers, Rob

  21. Have you got any more details i.e. what saw model, what length bar you after, what pitch chain do you want to run?

I could get a price for a cannon bar but these are not cheap!

  22. Good stuff Alex - enjoy!

  23. No prob Pat let me know if you need any more info

  24. Thanks for the heads up Mark. If it's very straight, no decay, no metal etc then I may be able to give you some money for it but it wouldn't be much i.e. between £100 and £200. If it's more an average sort of tree I can collect for free as long as it's by roadside but wouldn't be able to pay for it.... but if you want send some pics to [email protected] cheers, Rob

  25. Well done John. Yes please and e-mail me all your details to [email protected]

    That would be fantastico!
