I can then set discount to 10%. Postage - hmmm I have it at £29-50... but I suppose it could go royal mail....

Get signed up first then have a look at the various carving stuff there and we'll sort out what you want to buy first,

Rob

 6.

Discount set - don't hang around long as only have one of those bars and not getting more!

Easier for me if you order on line and I send - as I am not here most of the time...

Cheers, Rob

 7.

Does it apply to the 10 & 12 & 14 inch dime tips.

Yes all the dime tips and Q tips will fit the MS150 - on the dime tips they do need that extra drive link..I need to work out how to show this with the selectors.

Is it a solid bar - dime tip that you are waiting for ? Do you have an idea of what they will cost and would I really notice a great deal of difference between 10/12 inch light type and solid ??

The ones I am getting will be R7 (7mm tip), the dime tips I have are R10 (10mm) tip.

The new ones I am getting will run the 1/4" .043" chain - the ones I have run the 1/4" .050" chain.

If this is to be your only carving bar you need a standard dime set up... the new ones I am getting are only for detail work - they will not last at all doing regular carving.

If I decide to go with a light type should I select a different saw to be able to select the bar ? Sorry to muck about !!! But I'm desperate to get a dime tip on it

Thanks Ross

 8.

Good point there - maybe you could do it but not sure... looking at vids on youtube the sharpeners look quite complex...

I don't know but I don't think so the sharpeners in the vids seem to stroke up the back then down the front...

 9.

Hi Dave - if you go to my website - prices are better than ebay and if you put in arbtalk you will get a freebie thrown in, Rob

 10.

Hi Joe - Stihl do these and I'm not sure if I have them in stock at the moment.. typically am away now for a few weeks and don't have the Stihl parts list with me but what you need I think is a rim and sprocket kit and then you change the rim to an 8 tooth.

I think the part you want is 0000 642 1241 and they have them here Search results for: 'picco 8t rim' | L&S Engineers may be best to give them a call and double check first... Rob

 11.

Hi Mikkel – sorry late reply - you want the 60" double ended bar and a 48" Alaskan mill.

Also I would stick to the normal clamps for double ended milling as you need the extra force to grip the uprights (but have added so you can see the price).

I would also get an extra handle and cast bracket.

 12.

Hi Nathan - we have the Sugi pro and light type pro in 28"... but other than that would be an oregon powermatch bar:

All found here : Guide bars

 13.

Hi Sam - yes I have the Sugi bars 18" but only in the pro solid version with replaceable nose £55+vat, Husky 3/8 drive sprocket £30+vat and chains depends on what you have,

Rob

 14.

Hi Saul - we have the 74" sprocket nose bar or 98" double ended bar

MILLING BARS FOR STIHL CHAINSAWS Archives - Alaskan Mill ? Mobile Chainsaw Mills

 15.

Hi Shaun - yes I would just go with a 10" or 12" sugi light type dime tip bar... bear in mind you'll need to have a 1/4" drive sprocket to run the 1/4" chain you have to use with a dime tip....

Either that or a 10" or 12" Quarter tip - you're existing drive sprocket is prob 3/8 lo pro but double check.

Also did some vids here

 16.

Hmmm - that is a very good question! I am away at the minute but I am pretty sure it is anti clockwise... but not sure how much a different a result it would give if the stone turned the other way.

But ot sure I have a vid here but even looking closely it is hard to tell!!

 17.

I replied to your e-mail Mikkel - maybe that's what happened before.

Ok I will send as PM - but can you e-mail me on [email protected] and I will also reply on there

 18.

It's possible - but only have laminated in 18" - still good bars... Now 20" I have the shiny light type pro bars - put your saw in here to get prices Guide bars

If you order put in arbtalk as voucher code for a free gift!

 19.

Nope you understood right Ross! It is strange how on the 10" bar it needed an extra drive link! Seems in the 12" dime tip it doesn't... I buy an MS150C in order to double check this as getting a bit painful now!

Do you have anyone near you who can take a drive link out? I will re reimburse any costs - or I can send you over 68 drive link chains and you send those couple back. Let me know. Rob

 20.

Not got the 16" bars yet Patrick - but may get them in - everyone seems to like to run 13",15" and 18" on those Huskys.

15" Sugi is £54-00+vat for the light type and £50-00+vat for the pro solid.

Chains - there's a choice of 8 or so!

Have a look here - Chains

Postage to Ireland is £20-00+vat - expensive I know but you can order what you like for that...

Cheers, Rob

 21.

Pleasure Andy...

I don't have a catelogue at the moment - but I should have one really!

Will put it on my list to do as would be good to be able to hand one out at shows, cheers, Rob

 22.
