Hi Andrew, You can go up to a 30" bar with the Alaskan 24" mill. Your 044 will take a 25" bar max and would be the better saw of the two you have but a larger saw like a 660 or 880 would be even better. Have a look at alaskan mill I home of the portable chainsaw mill for more info, cheers, Rob

Sorry just got back from the Bentley woodfair - didn't get a chance to look through any e-mails while away... Tim I have set your discount and Paul have replied to your PM!

Hi there,
Yes I have them they are £65-00 + vat and postage (£7+vat).
Are they so you can use a double ended bar with one powerhead? The vibration you get through them is pretty big so I don't tend to advise having someone hanging on the end of one directly,
Regards, Rob

Yep - if you go on my website Chainsawbars ? bars, chains and chainsaw accessories and sign up. Then let me know and I can set the 10% discount, Rob

I would try without first Pat - I find that good maintenace and sharp chains mean the existing oiler works fine unless you are doing loads and loads of big stuff.

-

Hi Tim - we're waiting on a Granberg order which should have the ripping chain... they seem pretty busy recently and it's been hard to get details on when delivery will be... do you want a Stihl ripping chain instead? We could then get the order sent or give it the weekend first to see if the chain has come in?

I think you are fine putting any of the multi mount type carving bars on it. Does it have a rim and sprocket set up? If so just change the rim over to a 1/4" rim and if thinking of selling it put on one of my cheaper zebra carving bars. If it doesn't have a rim and sprocket then you need to get hold of a 1/4" drive sprocket and this model is not featuring in the oregon selector at the moment... or another option is a quarter tip bar... just leave the existing drive sprocket on there. Rob

Alright Pat it'll be £235-00 + £10 = £245-00 + vat. But then 10% off so £220-50 + vat. I can put a web order up if you need.
-

That's it Ross - I started the order around 2 months ago - a slow process - you can put the sugi light type dime tips on the MS150 - but the chain you need requires an additional drive link... select from the custom selector here Custom chain loops so if the bar reads 60 drive links you need to order 61...
