i consider myself a quick climber when needed mr ed and if you had seen what was involved in dismantling that tree it would have been a long tough day probably day and a half and to see someone do it in a hour would of been insane,as for bad workmanship i think thats abit strong.its simple,the job was to fell and do it it safely,which is exactly what happened.as people have said before we all have to make calls and calls have to be made and its a tough industry to keep all these experinced and expert brains happy.i posted this thread to get the response i got and learn from it and i have but stand by my call.

at the time competition wasnt a worry just got called in to ask if i thought the fell was on wasnt expecting a tree like that in that position when i turned up.did question the client about the yew but as they say it fell on deaf ears.the rich pigs gardener would of been distraught

the quote was for a straight fell would of taken all day to dismantle and when the fell is on the fell is on.down was safe and down she came.was on site for 1 hour max

not my job lads.just got called in to second the straight fell which i think was what the client had paid for and apparently dealt with the rest himself.big time shame bout the yew hedge.felled a tree like that then mesterh or just like lookin for them on you tube,not an arborist to take the piss mate.

hey ray,nice pics,worked for tony fleming in orks at treecare for 4 yrs did a few heli jobs,more crane work tho as exspense is monstrous.where in england you planning to live,im down south east on the gold coast if i can be of any help,moving back to NZ next year,you headin the wrong way bro.ha ha.enjoy

did 5 gnarly poplars last week,pollarded 25 yrs ago at 20ft so roughly 40ft of new growth,client was too tight to keep on top of things,thought he was making a saving.now hes got roughly 150 of these bad boys on his campsite surrounded by static homes and they are dropping like flies.took the 5 out to ground level.real hoop blinkin stuff but very satisfying to get the job done.

ive had the new stihl 441 for about 6mths now and its the new top dog,came wit a 25 but have been using it wit a 20 as a ground saw.whoops some serious a hole
