  1. Hi John

It all depends i suppose on what your going to mill. The 48 inch bar is massive and will mill anything, but to be fair its possibly too big. I will get a 36 inch bar at first, and you can always get the extenders for the mill should you want to go bigger. The 460 with the 25 bar is good for smaller stuff but not really great for overall.

I bought my 880 form listers in Ciren for £820 i think just last month. They also price match as well so go in with a fr jones cataloge!!!!

Anyway let me know if you want to come and have a play, got a good bit of walnut that needs planking.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
