  1. When my fire was installed they used fireboards in the cavity and said that I could use ordinary paint on them. I've never actually painted the boards because the colour is fine and I couldn't be bothered really! A thought came into my head that a reflective paint could be applied to radiate more heat into the room. Has anyone done this and if so, how effective is it? It's expensive stuff to buy so I thought I'd do a bit of research before going to the shop.

  2. Hmmm, odd that there's such a deafing hush of response to an area that usually provokes warm debate.

I'm sure myself & the HH team would be happy to assist in the review process where we can.

Lets hope others step up also :thumbup1:

Come on Arbtalkers this is 'your' oportunity to get involved with 'our' industry in a process that is likely to effect the majority of us in one way or another.

    .

Most folk will just be getting back from work. I'm interested to get involved to a certain extent

  3. Looking for a place to have a nice break for a week. Thinking either Wales or Scotland. Does anyone know of a good place to hire that's not too isolated? The thought of chilling out in a log cabin is appealing now. Needs to sleep at least 3.

    Cheers

  4. Anyone else suffer from it? I've had the endoscope down so I know there is no ulcer in my stomach. They took samples to test for various things including helicobater pylori but waiting on the results. I've been on Omazeprole which seemed to help but had to come off it for the endoscope test. Went on to ranitidine as an alternative but that didn't seem as effective.

I'm hoping to test positive for a bacterial infection so it can be treated and cleared. If not I'll be looking at pills or major diet change. Possibly herbal treatment as an other option.

    It's bloody awful!

  5. I'm after a cheap pair of chainsaw pants. Front protection only and the type that have a plastic buckle on the waist and the back of each leg. They are the type you can throw on. For use on the ground only.

    Who sells them?

  6. Keeping the cinch oriented on the biner when slack is a good idea. Got a big leylandii job coming up in a couple of months. It might be good for that as I wouldn't have to keep dragging a strop around. Plus the fact that it's quite long so can have a couple of wraps on a branch for work position. Just got a ISC triple action snap today which is pretty easy to use. The whole thing seems to make a neat system. I'm putting a bit of red tape near the end of the line so I can stop taking out rope before it's all payed out.

  7. Yes, after fiddling about with it at ground level, you're right; the small loop is neither here nor there. It does seem to work great. The cinch takes a bit of getting used to if you haven't used one. I purposely put the sidewinder on upside-down so that the rope feeds out from the big hole at the top. Just need to get a snap ordered next.

  8. Mine landed today. was just playing with it and pulled all the cord through to see how the tail end was fixed inside. When I tried to let it go back in, it would only go so far until the reel was full, leaving a bit much slack hanging out! There's about half a meter hanging out now.

It didn't come with any instructions. Is the plugged hole in case you prefer the lanyard on your right?
