  1. yeah, any info you have would be great. ta very much.
  2. adam, what other certificates are you doing with your course? i do 30,31, 38 & 39 over a year.
  3. well have emailed a couple of firms in berlin and one in vienna who have got back encouraging me to apply for work once i finish my course in july as they employ mostly english staff. would love to live there for a bit, lovely city.
  4. well done. i got mine 3 weeks ago, have my 31 next saturday, will be good to get that one out of the way.
  5. thanks for the replies guys, some good advice there which i will take heed. thanks wolf, that's a good perspective you have given there. if you could give me some firm's details, that would be great. will certainly keep in touch if i do find myself in berlin.
  6. Has anyone any experience of working abroad? I'm in the fairly fortunate position of being single and having no particular ties so am looking to find work abroad when i finish my arb course in July. I'm aware that it will be difficult for someone with limited experience to find any work, especially abroad, but I've spent a bit of time in Germany and am pretty keen on settling there for a year or 2, in particular, Berlin. I've googled everything from ' arbs+berlin' to 'unexperienced+english+tree+surgeon+looking+for+work+in+berlin' and not had much luck. Arbjobs.com has a few jobs abroad listed, particularly a couple in Vienna and Salzburg that have caught my eye. If anyone could give me any pointers that would be great.
  7. erm, yeah....the 'missus' tights...
  8. they are, i love vws, i don't think i'll ever drive another car again. my old golf was great, it looked immaculate, but had all sorts wrong with it, sadly wasn't really worth spending the money getting it sorted. if only i was more mechanically minded!
  9. piffle indeed. what more could you ask for than good tunes, plenty of cider and camping in the great outdoors? they are a fussy bunch my friends. where in the south west are you high scale? ooo, i feel like i'm flirting.
  10. last year was my first glasto, so sadly i missed out on the glory years. the guys i went with are all veterans and said it was piffle, i still enjoyed it though. rumoured headliners are muse, radiohead or blur. i've seen muse twice and they're something else, i'd love to see radiohead and i reckon blur would put on a good show, any one of those would do me.
  11. who's in this year? registration for tickets is next month, feels like only yesterday i was watching the chemical brothers in the p*ss*ng rain on the sunday night last year. cannot wait.
  12. hold up, just seen you can attach images. fella sat on the bonnet is the local delboy who sells plants and allsorts from the back of his bedford rascal every thursday morning. i think he was a little disgruntled with me parking in his regular spot so was trying to make a point!
  13. i have a '00 mkiv 2.0 8v golf, 3 door and in a nice dark green. compared to my previous car, an '87 mkii 1.6, it's a beauty, but in retrospect, i wish i'd looked out for something a little more exciting like vduben's 16v, proper vw that. i bought mine in a rush as i was desperate for some wheels after i'd SORN'd my old car. i would post a pic, but i don't have any online.
  14. "she was wet as an otter's pocket" "does the pope sh*t in the woods?" "get up them stairs" followed by a slap on lucky lady's arse
  15. cheers, excellent site this. just started my nch arb so this has been a good reference tool.
