  1. I imagine I could rig one up myself. Hmmmm.
  2. Hey, it's just a poem. ;^}
  3. Check it out, I found Thor's Hammer!
  4. I need to give that SawPod a shot. I have hesitations, but WTH. Worse case scenerio I give it away in a drawing.
  5. Let's see... 5 jillion people love it, 2 or 3 don't. I'll get over it.
  6. All of this "tone" stuff is in ya'lls heads. In fact, I believe you're projecting your attitudes towards me. And feel free to write your own version - don't let me hold you back. I'm Mr. Nice Guy.
  7. That's awesome, Bob - but not the norm.
  8. Perhaps I'll work on a flowery, pretty-please version for those delicate, thin skinned workers. How 'bout this: Instead of " Show up for work on time, rested, and sober" to "Please arrive on time if you can, try to get some sleep beforehand and if it's not to much trouble please don't be drunk or hungover. Thank you oh so very much!" I don't think so, mate.
  9. Around here the customer wouldn't pay you if you made cuts like that.
  10. Thank you, sir.
  11. Don't amuse yourself prematurely. I'm talking about where you stash it between cuts.
  12. Heck no brother, I don't know you from Adam. It's just an odd piece of gear that I don't have a use for. Like I said, I just push. I'm a big believer in the KISS system. At the very least I wouldn't wanna pack that extra weight on my saddle. But to each their own!
  13. It must be because your trees are so huge. In over thirty years I've never had a block that I couldn't push off. But I am amazingly powerful and bowed up! ;^}
  14. The workplace ain't a democracy. And I never realized what a delicate 'lil flower you are, Tock.
  15. I wonder why we don't (or DO we?) do that over here?
  16. So being paid low wages means just dragging brush and loading chunks with no responsibilitys whatsoever? I've always thought the harder/smarter you worked, the quicker you advanced in the company and got the pay raises.
  17. I have no use for this "Blockdriver." I just push them over until they get too thick, then I break out my wedge with a string attached. Even then, I still just push it over: the wedge just helps keeping the cut open.
  18. The climber gets paid to climb, and the groundie gets paid to work the ground. And yes, the handbook is an example of an Excellent Groundman/woman! The entire idea (besides orientation) is to help cover the employer's liability. When someone screws up and says "I didn't know that" or "You never told me that," you can break out their employee folder and show them where they initialed each point and signed it. This is especially important for bigger company's. It can justify them having to make restitution or even being terminated.
  19. Yeah, I hear you. But a groundie ain't a climber. Know what I mean? You're talking apples while I'm talking oranges.
  20. So your suggestion is that it's too verbose? Cool, I'll take that under consideration. Thanks for your imput!
  21. Point 3 - So your groundies don't need a driver's license or reliable transportation to work? Point 4 - I see nothing there that wouldn't be out of place. It's OK for a groundie to jump in a truck first thing in the morning and not check the oil? Or look to see he wasn't backing out over anything? Point 7 - I see nothing there that wouldn't work in the UK. Point 8 - Same as above Point 23 - Same as above That handbook would work from China to Peru.
  22. Well that was silly.
  23. The dickins you say. Got an example?
  24. Word.
  25. Wow!!!
