  1. If you like zero friction on your anchor point, buy one. If you want to install a friction saver from the ground, stick with the two ring type. I would not recommend the rope guide to everyone, I have one, I use it every day and I love it, but they do not suit every climber. I tend to access the canopy via a footlock line, and then set the RG when I get to the top. If you typically body thrust up the tree in the traditional fashion there is very little point using a rope guide. There are other uses for it, but nothing that cannot be achieved without one.
  2. Possible but not practical.
  3. Apparently there's a device for hoovering processionary moths out of trees and instantly incinerating them. Sounds like great fun!
  4. On a similar note, I wonder if you could convert a mist blower into a flamethrower?
  5. Must have taken you ages to pull all the leaves off!
  6. Come on chaps, less talky, more cheesy euro-trance with vids of girls bottoms! [ame=http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w9KnuJZkBjg&feature=related]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=w9KnuJZkBjg&feature=related[/ame]
  7. Why, was the last foreman a clown?
  8. Click the yellow quick links button, go to social groups, scroll down to the bottom, click on create new group, hey presto!
  9. I managed to pass mine despite having only about 2 hours of rescue practice. I forgot all the important stuff on the first attempt, the assessor gave me a good talking to and I had another go. On the second rescue I injured my right knee, an old cartilage tear, locked it up, very painful! Just about managed to get my casualty to the ground, and miraculously passed. So I'm sure you can do better than that, and pass it easily!
  10. Have you looked at the greenmech combined chipper shredder unit?
  11. Treevolution would do an advanced rigging course. They are based in North wales, as is Paulo. I wouldnt bother flying to the States for a rigging course, unless you want a holiday at the same time.
  12. Start one mate. Its dead easy.
  13. Ah, thats a different kettle of fish!
  14. New regional networking group. I have invited the few members that I thought of on the spur of the moment, but anyone in the northwest sort of area is welcome. As far as I'm concerned that runs from North Wales to Huddersfield, and Cheshire to Cumbria, ish! Anyway, even if you dont live here, if you work in the area at all feel free to join up.
  15. Means you can charge him more though. Personally, the more difficult the client makes the job the happier I am, cause you can really sting 'em!
  16. My transit is a 90 bhp non turbo, and its towed a bc1000xl. (2.2 tonnes) Wouldnt like to do it to often though!
  17. None, looks like a cracking job to me.
