  1. "Let's hope the nutcase driver is found and sent down. It's not ok to do that just because you don't like what someone is doing." "car used as a deadly weapon"???? bit of an over the top sensationalism comment, you make it sound like the driver went hunting for someone to run down, like the London bridge incident. the only nutcase here is the one that was attacking people just trying to go about their business. there are some pretty serious trump haters even on here, I don't even think any of them are stupid enough to throw themselves at passing traffic.
  2. I'll keep an eye out for those for you, of course there would have to be two of each,,
  3. very true, obviously I didn't check my own words, I'm old, and human, I make the odd mistake.
  4. "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" gets run over being a twat,, everyone gets their phone and takes a picture"
  5. Hi shavey, thanks for responding, do you sell parts for the older Dolmars?
  6. I guess google don't rate them, won't be the first time it's been wrong, or the last. It passed, that's all that matters.
  7. oh dear!! Electrical & Other Issues: Electrical Problems: The Relay van is known for electrical problems, potentially stemming from the fact that the body and electrics are manufactured by Fiat. good luck.
  8. MOT inspection manual: cars and passenger vehicles - 4. Lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment - Guidance - GOV.UK WWW.GOV.UK Headlamp, position lamps, daytime running lamps, stop lamps, indicators, hazard...
  9. sorry I missed that bit, looks like you been through it pretty thoroughly, can you jury rig a reverse lamp using the lights[or one of them] and a bit of temporary wiring, get the ticket and investigate after, vehicle construction and use regs state if a light is fitted on a vehicle it must work, and post '09 reversing lights are mandatory.
  10. thanks, I corrected my mistake.
  11. what vehicle is it, are the reverse lights triggered by a hyd switch in the braking system, or an electrical switch, often located and operated by the brake pedal, either way find it and join the two wires momentarily together, if the lights come on its a faulty switch, if they don't or it blows a fuse, it's likely a wiring fault. post 2009 vehicles must have one working reversing lamp, you can wire directly to a switch and bypass the fault but you must have a visible warning light clearly seen from the driver seat. [not necessary if operated by engaging reverse]
  12. no saw collectors then? somebody posted @shavey on another thread, is this the resident Dolmar fella, I got quite a few Dolmars too.
  13. about time you had a tidy up in the kitchen!
  14. I always wanted to play guitar, but alas with hands the size of a small digger bucket it was not to be, I can make it make noise,, but I wouldn't call it music by any stretch ! been a roadie in my teens, total disaster, right before a gig vocalist elopes to europe with a girlfriend, I knew most of the material so became the singer, two days before the gig, lead guitarist gets dumped by his girlfriend and hangs himself,, didn't feel very musical after that. But on a much brighter note some of the best times of my life have been in the company of Rory Gallagher.
  15. do you use them?, crank 'em up now and again to give the neighbors the benefits of them? If they were the amp Rory chose,, that good enough.
  16. wow, your insurance company are bending you over seriously. sorry cant help directly but you need to do some serious searching various brokers, sources of insurance. over 400% increase is taking the piss! hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to discover a more reasonable quote.
  17. I'm afraid not.. but if I ever find one, I'll swap it for a McCulloch 125
  18. Are there any collectors here that would like to start a conversation about your latest project, or a search for a rare part, or simply just chat to other like minded saw collectors and users of older equipment. or maybe even swap a few tips to others. On the bench currently I have a couple of Pioneers, 3 Stihs, and should be getting a Remington Logmaster on Monday hopefully. that brings the total to around 50, but I got more space so always room for another
