Brilliant place! A definate remedy for Leyland Cypress fatigue!! Helps that most of the wierd specimens have tags on!!! I lost the light to the end of the day but managed some reasonable shots while the sun was out...

 

The following are:

 

Sequoia sempervirens

Landscape shot

Picea sitchensis

Psuedolarix amabilis

Pinus jeffreyi

And some more...

 

Pinus muricata

Cunninghamia lanceolata 'glauca'

Abies grandis (Tallest tree on site, known as 'The Old Man of Kent')

Some manky old fruiting body on Pinus echinata x rigida - maybe Phaeolus schweinitzii?????

I'd reckon it's Phaeolus schweinitzii

bedgebury is a great place, only down the road from me. i did quite a bit of work there about 2 years ago when they invested in the visitor attractions and cycle routes

Been there, it's about half an hour from me, really nice place & the kids will love it to, you can hire mountain bikes for the day & get lost in the woodland, they also have go-ape there & kents tallest tree
