I bought a carving chainsaw ms192 c from a shop in mid wales last month (love it). I mentioned to the guy that they don't make them anymore so I was grabbing it quick, I just thought I'd let you guys know he told me last weekend he still has 4 in stock. Don't know about the carving bars though, you'd have to ask him. I can post the shop details if I'm allowed, it's in nantmel, llandrindod.

Was in my local saw shop there husqvarna data base thing was showing very low stock of 357xp !!!!!! And delayed delivery on new stock after !!!!! Could be a dealer ploy but trust the source maybe jonesie could clarify ????

I posted that as I came across loads of posts, when I was googling stihl ms192 vs echo, from carvers angry that stihl had discontinued the ms192 and they were thinking of importing them.

This is a great little saw!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Far superior to the MS170 and all the domestic rubbish they make why are they discontinuing?

 

I do hope not the obvious answer that they're not making enough out of them
