any tips for limb walking, i'm finding it hard to gain the confidence whilst out on the limb, is there any techniques to work on this or is it just another one of those mental things to work on..

using a taught line sort of go along nearly lying sideways using your hands and feet(like spiderman). if it's a high angle branch, when you start to drop down, strop off and tighten your line to continue. if it's a more lateral branch, when your line is too tight, either use a second anchor point above to continue or sradle the branch and just hump along, just remember to have a loose strop around it incase you loose balance.

main thing is when you get to where theres lots of growth on the end it's easier .

as Gray said,

nice high anchor point, get yourself leaned back into your harness, steady yourself, try to use a supplementary anchor point with the tail end of your rope-this always helps in the learning process as it removes the sway aspect of the limb walk that is notorious with a single anchor point alone.

sometimes its a case of knuckling down and just getting out there, if i take too much time gingerly stepping out there i often end up getting in a wobble and loosing the bottle, if i go out there like a cannonball then i am fine! it does take practice but just try and relax and just go for it!
